An old Star Wars article

So, was discussing this elsewhere- thought it might amuse a few people here. If you do care- thoughts ? |
someone with way too much time on their hands. the less I have to think about the mucky, clunky political plot in Eps I & 2 (and, presumeably 3), the better
|
dola,
but the projector and surround sound is SO ready for the DVDs my wife is picking up today |
Lucas really screwed up with the midichlorians. That basically made the Jedi a hierarchy. Then of course he ignored that in the second film.
This author did fail to mention that the Empire not just once but twice attempted to build a weapon that committed mass genocide on a planetary scale. And given its known uses, it wasn't for maintaining law and order. |

sadly, this is true |
Do you mean the idea of making them? Or how they turned out?
By the way, I am going to love to see how in the world Anakin is going to turn into a bad ass and kill almost all the Jedi considering he has looked silly in his fights thus far. Wasting the Sandpeople don't count. |
Subtle humor gone wrong, I believe.

how they turned out, of course. |
The author has obviously not read most, if any of the Star Wars books concerning the happenings before and after the movies.
Kevin J. Anderson et al provides a very rich and healthy universe surrounding the ones in the movies, and they basically wrap up most of the loose threads. |
Quote:
as he says- first thing in the article. The books are not Lucas- the point is purely about the movies. |

And still oh so very wrong. Flimsy. Thin. Whatever. |

If only he could have done the same with Jar Jar. :( |
I read it, but one line made me stop and realize what a kook was writing this:
