Colts vs. Packers

Anyone watching this game? Wow 14-14 after 9 minutes. Looks like the shootout is on.

Cringer 09-26-2004 03:48 PM

ya, there is some talk in the week 3 thread....

GrantDawg 09-26-2004 03:49 PM

As much as the old school side of me likes defense and running games....it really is fun to watch two high-powered offenses go off.

Eaglesfan27 09-26-2004 03:49 PM

21-14 now (pending XP)... wow!

kingfc22 09-26-2004 03:50 PM

:( I'm stuck watching my Niners get their asses handed to them.

temley06 09-26-2004 03:52 PM

I am not even sure james has even touched the ball.

Alf 09-26-2004 03:52 PM

Manning is 12/17 for 193 yards and 3 TDs in the first quarter. NFL.com does not mention any rushing attempts !!!

cthomer5000 09-26-2004 03:54 PM

curse you for starting a seperate thread!

word to your mother! :D

temley06 09-26-2004 03:56 PM

Sorry I just noticed the talk on the other thread. Long time lurker, short time poster.

Joe 09-26-2004 04:03 PM

21 pass plays and 0 rush for indy so far

temley06 09-26-2004 04:05 PM

What is the record for completions in 1 game? Manning has had 17 in one quarter, on pace for 68!

Joe 09-26-2004 04:09 PM

i think its in the 50's... i know the record for attempts is Bledsoe's 70

Joe 09-26-2004 04:11 PM

touchdown #4..

INDalltheway 09-26-2004 04:13 PM

:D I love watching my Colts, even though it can be very painful at times.

cthomer5000 09-26-2004 04:14 PM

45 completions and 70 attempts are the records. Both Bledsoe vs Minnesota in 94. That was an overtime game as well, FWIW.

Alf 09-26-2004 04:14 PM

Peyton : my keeper QB :D

What's the record for passing yards in a quarter? Or maybe what was the record. Wouldn't be surprised if Manning broke it.

cthomer5000 09-26-2004 04:15 PM

also, 554 yards and 7 TD's are the other single game records.

temley06 09-26-2004 04:15 PM

Manning looks like he did in the playoffs last year, except of course against New England.

Danny 09-26-2004 04:16 PM

Manning has 34 fantasy points in the first 16 minutes of the game.

Danny 09-26-2004 04:22 PM

Dola, Im pissed that the Indy/GB game isnt on

So far he has 65 points in the odd QB scoring FOFC fantasy football league.

mckerney 09-26-2004 04:27 PM

Dola:

I'm liking this. Finally there could be a record breaking offensive performance not against the Vikings.

Joe 09-26-2004 04:30 PM

is 34 fantasy points good?

Solecismic 09-26-2004 04:32 PM

Manning really stunk on that last throw. Bring on Sorgi.

Cringer 09-26-2004 04:33 PM

are we talking about the game here now?

I wish someone would send out notices..... :D

INDalltheway 09-26-2004 04:34 PM

How about the false start on Manning? Don't see that too often.

I almost pissed my pants when I read that. Like Wright replacing Dickey, Sorgi will have his day in the sun.

cthomer5000 09-26-2004 04:44 PM

Packers - you might want to consider trying something different on defense.

not sure if there is anything they can do really. this kind of comes down to talent level, and the Packers are hurting there on defense.....

mckerney 09-26-2004 04:46 PM

Let him throw a 1 yards TD pass here.

temley06 09-26-2004 04:50 PM

Nice call

Alf 09-26-2004 04:56 PM

Geez : I nearly see Rhodes stealing a TD from Peyton.

Sorgi might get in the game

Cringer 09-26-2004 05:00 PM

OK, its halftime. Lets give Reggie White, Brian Noble, Sean Jones, LeRoy Butler, Gilbert Brown, Eugene Robinson and any other Packer defenders from the last 20 years a call and get them in the game.

temley06 09-26-2004 05:03 PM

Colts 35 points in 30 minutes
Jacksonville 32 points in 180 minutes

Hurst2112 09-26-2004 05:26 PM

Anybody else having shitty cable reception on this game? Or, could it be TWC in Minnesota. Double image going on that is bugging the piss out of me.

:D

hhiipp 09-26-2004 05:32 PM

Noooo I have Javon Walker on my fantasy team. :(

temley06 09-26-2004 05:35 PM

That ball was uncatchable!

Alf 09-26-2004 05:36 PM

And what happened to him ? Injury ?

Doesn't matter - the call was for illegal contact, not pass interference.

Danny 09-26-2004 05:42 PM

Yes what happened? Walker is my best receiver on my money league team.

Cringer 09-26-2004 05:52 PM

Walker got up, I think he was just shaken up. Will find out shortly if he is in on this next Packer drive.......

cthomer5000 09-26-2004 05:58 PM

Hmmm, we definitely still have a game here.

I put a call into Mark Lee and Mark Murphy but it might be too late to stop the secondarial (new word) bleeding.

Ah, Mark Murphy, thats the name that was on the tip of my tongue but I couldn't get......

This is going to be a crushing loss. I didn't give the Packers much chance, even though I was hopeful. But this ending is horrible.

GREAT GAME! BCould have been the best I've seen if the Packers win/won

Nope, this is just perfect.

Alf 09-26-2004 06:38 PM

Fire Indy coach. He allowed the RB to score...
