He got banned for what he thought? Wow. I tend to feel the same way on that topic as him will I get banned to?

sabotai 09-30-2004 05:25 PM

He wasn't banned because he said all religious people were idiots, he was banned for trolling. It wasn't what he said that got him banned, but the intent and how he said it. It was a trolling post, no matter how you dress it up. (EDIT: It's in the Shawn Green and Yom Kippur thread)

it was for trolling. the religious beliefs thing was just the bread that held the sandwich together.

I thought he was sent to the box, though, not banned like he should have been.

note to self: don't visit Grey Dog's forums.

Crapshoot 09-30-2004 05:49 PM

well- I believe Arlie probably feels a certain "loyalty' to him for the Joe saga...

Marmel 09-30-2004 07:06 PM

All religious people are idiots.

Sun Tzu 09-30-2004 07:28 PM

The only question is, would he have gotten banned for saying "all non religious people are idiots" ?

the answer to your question can be found in this thread. It may even be answered more than once.

Druez was suspended for yet another trolling incident. Period. I'd never ban someone just for saying that they think religious people are idiots. Keep in mind that, as I've said more than once on here, I abhor religion myself.

Speaking frankly, Draft Dodger might be right on this one, particularly in light of a post that he (druez) recently made at another forum flat-out saying that he tries to be a troll and incite stuff.

If you did, I would have been gone a LONG time ago. :)

Mac Howard 09-30-2004 10:44 PM

And there I was thinking SkyDog disliked his attack on SaaP ;)

But he is a pain. I've removed a couple of posts on my own forum from him - I've never removed anything before in 5 years running the forum - but there's a vindictive, deceitful quality about him at times that just drives more reasonable people away.

Ben E Lou 10-05-2004 02:59 PM

OK. No reason to rehash any more of this. Thread closed...
