For beating the Buckeyes and breaking some ridiculously long losing streak again those guys.

I was 4 out of 5 with only Ohio State beating NW left in my 5 team parlay but I will gladly forfeit the cash won to watch the Luckeye fans try to think up an excuse for why they lost.

I taped the game last night, and I figured I wouldn't find out about the result until I watched it, but I still might watch it, since it sounds like it was a good game, and seeing Ohio State lose is always a good thing -- even if, in the back of my mind, I always want to see them undefeated so that Michigan can beat them with their hopes up.

Anyway, if anyone's interested, I can give them a copy of the game, since it sounds like it was a good one.

Good job Northwestern, but I still hate overtime...

Its going to be replayed on ESPN2 early morning on Wednesday I think (I guess its a condensed version... only 2 hours). I was at the game... it was awesome! :)

I'm a Buckeye, but lets be honest, the Buckeyes are/were way overrated as usual.

Seeing Iowa win, then watching Ohio State lose made yesterday a great day:D

I agree, maybe not with the as usual team but this team might lose 4-5 games this year. Next year if a bunch of guys don't leave we will be good again though.

I'm no Buckeye fan, but they did win a championship.

It was a pretty entertaining game. I figured OSU for 8-3 this year, and am sticking with that.

It's hard to be too pissed when they did come back and tie it in the final two minutes. They even threw a couple of bombs with under 20 seconds left and nearly converted one, very un-Tressel-like.

NW's offense was just on fire, and with that offense once your defense gets confused it's hard to recover.

Hey, at least we didn't get trounced by Notre Dame. :p

So, will you start a thread like this next week if the Gophers beat Michigan? Or do you just have Buckeye envy? ;)

Mr. Lieb had a pacemaker from a previously diagnosed heart condition.

According to his friend, Mr. Lieb complained of shortness of breath while running down to the field. After arriving on the field shortly before midnight Saturday, he collapsed. He received CPR from security personnel and a doctor and was taken to Evanston Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the attending emergency room physician.

Our condolences and deepest sympathies go to Ricks family and his friends, said Northwestern University President Henry S. Bienen. It saddens all of us at Northwestern greatly when we lose a member of our community, and particularly so in these circumstances.

University officials, police and counselors met Sunday with many of Ricks friends and members of the residence hall where he lived. Plans for a memorial service on campus will be announced in the next few days.

Students who are affected by this loss are encouraged to seek help by contacting Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), the Office of the University Chaplains, or the Office of the Dean of Students.
