I dig a thriller...so Im amped for it.

Cringer 11-05-2004 05:55 PM

what is SAW?

stevew 11-05-2004 05:56 PM

which playground? I hope you bring someone of similar size and weight along cause it is no fun otherwise.

JeeberD 11-05-2004 05:56 PM

It's on my list of flicks to see...

sabotai 11-05-2004 05:58 PM

I'm heading out to see this as well. Hope it lives up to the hype.

Funny. Took me a minute to get it... but funny. :D

hukarez 11-05-2004 06:00 PM

My buddies went out to see this movie last week...now, I'm not quite sure if you've seen the trailers that were included on a separate disc from the Punisher DVD, but to put it bluntly:

"Trailers were the only real highlights."

I haven't gone to see this movie myself...in fact, I haven't been to the theater in awhile. Still, I thought I'd just wait a bit more for more opinions.

If you guys do see it - let me know what you think?

that is BRILLIANT!

Sun Tzu 11-05-2004 06:13 PM

I went to see that movie last week. I thought it was well done, and Danny Glover turned in a pretty good performance. I hope you enjoy it. Do yourself a favor and don't sit next to a "screamer".

MrBug708 11-05-2004 06:16 PM

Dont close your eyes like I did. It saves the thrill part, but miss the action

vex 11-05-2004 06:30 PM

I just read the preview, sounds pretty good.

I have to agree. It is a well done movie, however my girlfriend is a screamer (insert joke here) and she had her eyes closed so much I should have only paid half price for her ticket.

We've already discussed the importance of maintaining eye contact...

bbor 11-05-2004 06:49 PM

Excellent movie....very suspensful and full of twists....keeps you guessing all movie long....much better than The Grudge.....that flick was HORRID!

JeeberD 11-05-2004 06:53 PM

The Grudge had some pretty freaky moments, but the premise just didn't make any real sense...

arizing540 11-05-2004 08:47 PM

I'm a horror movie fanatic... have any of you seen any of the Guinea Pig movies? They're all in Japanese with English subtitles, but they blow away American horror movies

Flasch186 11-05-2004 11:41 PM

I give it a B+, very unique, twisted, and suspenseful. Whacked out ending, it was overall worth it.

Sun Tzu 11-05-2004 11:55 PM

Glad you liked it.

sabotai 11-07-2004 02:52 AM

I am in agreement with our resident actor. I thought it was well done and was original. Everytime you think you finally have it figured out, you don't. It wasn't so much "scary" as it was "disturbing" and "creepy".

GrantDawg 11-07-2004 02:01 PM

I love thrillers, and esp. serial killer type movies. I just don't think I could handle this movie, though. There is just something about being trapped and having to crawl through razor wire that disturbs me deeply. I can deal with very sick things, but this movie just seems to go beyond what I could comfortably be entertained by.

sounds like a good flick to see with my 5 yr old daughter.... :D

SackAttack 11-07-2004 04:25 PM

I thought my girlfriend said she went to see this, but I wasn't aware it was a "thriller." Is Cary Elwes in "SAW," or do I have the wrong movie?

Flasch186 11-07-2004 04:27 PM

yup he was good, it was a mind twister.

SackAttack 11-07-2004 04:28 PM

Thanks, Flasch.

Swaggs 11-07-2004 06:33 PM

I enjoyed it, too. I knew it was going to be a thinker and was looking for that "twist," but certainly did not see it coming.

By the way, was Cary Elwes this bad of an actor back in the Princess Bride days? He was comically bad in Saw. There were two or three scenes of unintentional comedy where the theater erupted into laughter. :)

(not when your with her)

Flasch186 11-07-2004 07:10 PM

i dont think it was him, i think it was the cinetography and director that caused that. I thought his acting on the last scene, you know what im talking about, was the director's fault.
