Thanks |

He already did, notice the right position before the player name :) |

when you buy the game, it comes with a help file to help you know what column stands for what category, i.e. team, position, etc. |
Quote:
It'a actually not the help file. You access that information by opening the player file generator. |
by the way, it would be impossible to get all the contracts right, but some people might want to give Bears DE Adewale Ogunleye the big extention he signed after the acquired him. He still has the tiny one-year contract in the player file.
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?...nfl&id=1866081 Also, Jake Delhomme is set to become a free agent after 2004 in the player file. He signed a five-year contract extension on June 17, 2004. The deal locks him in with the Panthers through 2009 and is worth $38 million including $12 million bonus, according to the Charlotte Observer. Also doesn't include these new contracts: RB Ladainian Tomlinson QB Chad Pennington DE Aaron Schobel WR Chris Chambers LB Tedy Bruschi LT Matt Light FS Jermaine Phillips LB Kieth Bullock . |
thanks all...
so i guess i open it in excel the .csv file , and use the player file generator that comes with the game to convert the .csv file for the game.. this player file generator will have the instructions what each column means in the .csv file going to purchase it this weekend.... its so cool how this game is so editable... thanks so much guys |

Yes, or you could wait to see if someone released an updated roster file |
my bad, it's been awhile since I've messed with that stuff.

Here's Patrick Ramsey's contract info from extremeskins.com:
Contract: Current Contract: 5 years, $5.7 million, $3.1 million signing bonus. Base Salaries: 2003: $430K; 2004: $1.016 million; 2005: $1.102 million; 2006: $1.188 million. Contract Notes: Contract contains escalators based on percentage of offensive plays. If Ramsey plays 50% of offensive snaps, his base salary is accelerated to $2.5 million. 70% of snaps accelerates salary to $2.7 million. Over 70% of snaps accelerates salary to $2.9 million. Base salary in 2002 was $344K. Ramsey earned escalators at the end of the 2003 season that increased base salaries for 2004-2006 by $500K. |

I know that. This is for people who want to make the changes. If you don't care, then disregard. |
RCB Gary Baxter (Baltimore) - incorrectly listed as FS
CB Keiwan Ratliff (Cincinnati) - incorrectly listed as WLB S Madieu Williams (Cincinnati) - incorrectly listed as CB |

CB Kieth Smith (Detroit) - incorrectly listed as WLB

Here is some contract info for players with recently renegotiated contracts that didn't get included in the player file. The player file has them set to become free agents after 2004. The salaries are from the NFLPA and the prorated bonuses are from news reports. The format is 2004 salary/bonus, 2005 salary/bonus, etc.
QB Chad Pennington (Jets) 100/328 100/328 600/328 400/328 600/328 700/328 630/328 QB Jake Delhomme (Panthers) 54/315 67/200 478/200 640/200 619/200 583/200 RB Ladainian Tomlinson (Chargers) 46/265 54/265 425/265 500/265 575/265 672/265 800/265 WR Chris Chambers (Dolphins) 50/230 135/200 160/200 450/200 510/200 540/200 LT Matt Light (Patriots) 46/36 100/150 100/150 350/150 375/150 420/150 450/150 DE Adewale Ogunleye (Bears) 90/120 185/185 280/185 325/185 370/185 420/185 DE Aaron Schobel (Bills) 50/170 100/135 200/135 250/135 250/135 300/135 LB Kieth Bullock (Tennessee) 53/311 175/208 350/208 400/208 425/208 550/208 LB Tedy Bruschi (Patriots) 70/154 85/88 135/88 170/88 FS Jermaine Phillips (Buccaneers) 113/51 45/47 135/47 175/47 205/47 TE Alge Crumpler (Atlanta) 56/158 100/158 225/129 293/129 340/129 380/129 420/129 Note: Peyton Manning doesn't show a bonus in the last year of his contract. In fact, none of the players with 7-year deals show a bonus in the final year. Not sure if this is an input error or whether they are like this because the CBA expires or something else. edit: added Alge Crumpler's new deal. |
yabanci
thanks for those contract updates. so the rest of contract on the player file is like the nfl and pretty much accurate? |
yes, it looks pretty good.

CB Rich Gardner (Tennessee) - incorrectly listed as WLB

is the realplayerfile that available for download include the latest positions corrections and updated salary that been posted here?
or i need to download the realplayer file and manually edit ? if so when doen do i run the player file generator ..what do i put for year and salary cap? 2004? thanks |
To my knowledge the corrections haven't been made. You need to make the edits in the .csv version and then use the player file generator to make it into an .ftd file that can be used witht he game. The starting year should be 2004.
|
Quote:
thanks.. this is time consuming to edit it in .csv...i have to scroll the whole player list to find the name of the player to correct his postion and salary ..wish there was a faster way.. but i guess it will be worth it when all done |
There was a way.....back in FOF4. But for some unknown reason a very good player file editor that would have made these changes extremely easy was removed from the FOF2004 version of the game.
|
Quote:
good news get the fof2004 editor i found here its much easier to edit the nfl2004playerfile.fdt file and then make your corrections that people posted here... http://dynamic2.gamespy.com/~fof/fo...&threadid=16868 |
CB Nathan Vasher (Chicago) - incorrectly listed as WLB

Quote:
according to depth chart look like Right CB |
Quote:
This year bonuses (bonus'?) are only pro-rated over 6 years, not 7. |
Quote:
so Peyton Manning should have no bonus on 7th year like it was originally? what about the other salaries for the players above...should i put the bonus on the 7th year to zero and keep the rest the years bonus year 1-6 as it shows above? thanks |
