Funniest (or Dumbest) Motivational Tactic
 

"Browns interim coach Terry Robiskie, who was Davis's offensive coordinator, said he met with the players yesterday, armed with a bucket of ice and a shovel, and offered them a challenge.

"I will tell you like I told them in [the] meeting this morning," Robiskie said. "We are going to give it our all. We are going out Sunday to try to win. There are 12 coaches and that is what we are trying to do. All I say to the next 48 guys, if you want to come, come on. If you don't want to come, just let me know so we can go play. I think the guys are going to play."

He also told the team, "We have five games left. Nobody knows what's going to happen. We're heading into hell with nothing but a bucket of ice to fight with. Nobody expects a thing from us. We can go in together, stand with each other, or we can go our separate ways.'"


Nothing like the ole' bucket of ice with shovel to get out of Hell motivational speech to get a team fired up.

How about the Jags coach with the axe so players could chop wood in the lockers. I think the punter axed himself and missed the season.

Robiskie will do as well as the interim coach of the Browns as he did with the Redskins.

Bovine castration?
Anyone?

It wont work. Now if each Browns player gets a shovel, and the other team has to wear the buckets instead of helmets, then maybe they could go 3-2 down the stretch.

You need a bucket of ice and a shovel for it to make sense.

What is the shovel for? To dig to hell? Uh, yeah coach, let's go.

Yeah, it sounds like he's suggesting that if the players don't want to play, the coaches will suit up. I'd pay to see that.

Actually, I've got Sunday Ticket, so I guess I am paying to see that...
