how can you do RB by committee on fof?

i want to get all three by rb close to equal share of the carries for running.

Fiddle around with playing time settings, maybe go 3-4-3 for your 3 backs.

Another way to do it is to go into the formations and move the starters around - i.e. start RB1 in the Strong sets, RB2 in the Weak sets, etc.

Derr, my bad. There isn't one for the backups, so I guess getting PT for all 3 would be hard but you should be able to get 2 backs an even number of carries.

Celeval's got it nailed. Adjust the formation usage. It won't truly be an RB-by-committee, as each one will be featured in different sets, but it will get them each the reps so it LOOKS like an RB-by-committee.

In my experience, though, frankly, if you go by the coach's recommendations (or if you have the option turned out for him to do it automatically), you can pretty much guarantee a RB-by-committee by having 2 or more RBs with very close overall ratings.

However, the above advice is good for "doing it properly".

I use a playing time of 3 for Faulk and Jackson and they get about equal carries.

I agree with this. On my 5.1a Bears, I have Anthony Thomas (rated 47) and Thomas Jones (46). They play almost equally, with the starter getting just a few more carries than the reserve over the course of a season.

In fact I was going to ask the opposite: how do you stop your back up getting half the carries - drafted an 81/90 running back and even with the starting rate set at 6 my coach gave Reuben Droughns about equal carries, even though he had 50% of the rookie's ratings. Had to go up to 8 to get the 25/6 sort of split I was looking for...

I would set the RB playing time to at least 8 and if the rookie is worthy, make sure hes your 3rd and Short back.

This is key. Set his starter playing time high AND make sure that he is the back for passing situations and third and short.
