Anyone know what the Jenna Jamesons and others make a year?

I don't know...but I do remember seeing that of all the industries in the USA, that one had the largest pay differential. I find it funny that the single largest pay disparity in the country goes in favor of the women. Gloria Steinem doesn't bring up that stat when she talks about "equal pay". :)

HBO is running a series of half-hour "documentaries," if you will, about various aspects of the porn industry, as an off-shoot of its Real Sex show. They discussed this issue at length (no pun intended) on one of them. I know they interviewed Jameson, and indicated that she had built a multi-million dollar empire. But generally, as Blacky indicated, the chicks make way more than the guys, with female/female scenes paying the best.

And see that's the thing. Maybe I'm not the normal guy but female/female scenes althogh ok aren't my favorite.

Wonder what it costs to get health insurance in that industry. I bet "porn star" as occupation on your Blue Cross/Blue Shield application puts you somewhere between fireman and professional knife juggler for premium costs.

One of my friends' sisters is a pornstar. Apparently a fairly famous one. She won't tell us what her industry-name is though. It's some kind of...family agreement not to. I wonder if there's a webpage out there with pornstar real-names? Any FOFCers help?? But her sister does do quite well (from what she's said) in terms of money. Nothing really to add, just wanted to share that "brush with fame" so to speak, and see if anyone might know of such a webpage or way to figure it out? I'd hate to be ummn...checking out her sister, although I guess she said her sister does a lot of like "Xena-esque" porn, and thats definately not in my collection so I should be safe. Help me FOFC community, figure out who this pornstar is!

Of course I think the best way to go about it would be to find some of said "Xena-esque" porn and see who the main actress/actresses are, because I know this girl is married to her manager and she might have changed her last name to reflect that (although I seem to remember her sister saying she didn't, but I might be wrong about that).

right. as in like...porno-spoofs of "Xena: Warrior Princess" like their are ones for the Sopranos called the "Sopornos." Just by the fact this girl is blonde, I'd guess her sister would be the part of the blond girl, but I could be wrong...surgery+hair dye can do wonders. Oh yeah, and more info: my friend said that Jenna and the other like "central clique" of pornstars invited her sister to join them a couple years back, but her sister told them off. Dunno if that helps unravel it for anyone...

Perhaps the girl is Serenity, she does alot of comedy stuff and has never, to my mind, signed with Vivid.

that's possible. possible. Especially because as I understand it, her sister was a dancer before she went into videos. I guess she's looking at retirement now, getting out of the business.

edit: the part about being from New England fits too, as that's where we're from. From what I understand though, her sister actually lives around here, and I see Serenity's hometown listed in places as Las Vegas. But the age also fits, being born in 69 makes her 10 years older than me, and 10-12 older than my friend. Hmmn, strong possibility I suppose, but withholding final judgement till we get some other options.
