Blade Trinity
Saw it this afternoon. It was better than the second movie, and had many redeeming qualities (see also Jessica Biel) that made it a movie worth seeing. I think Wesley Snipes is probably one of the best action film actors working, as long as he has next to no dialogue in a movie. This movie proves he does the quite killing machine with one-line jokes better than Arnold.
The worst thing about the movie had to be Ryan Reynolds. He was just unfunny. He maybe had two good funnies, yet he constantly was telling jokes while on screen. Making me laugh is like shooting fish in a barrell, especially with witty-pop humour. For some reason Reynolds just doesn't do it for me. He just about ruins the whole pic. I think his problem is timing. The lines might have been funny if he had any sense of comedic timing. |
saw it today and I liked it, however I still favor Blade II. I disagree about Reynolds though, I laughed at many of his lines, and I happen to enjoy his delivery, even if it is so blatantly obvious that he is trying too hard. I was one of the unfortunate ones who liked Van Wilder, and I think it would've been a hard pill to swallow if he played the part all hard assed. IMHO Triple HHH was the absolute biggest joke of the whole film.

IMHO Triple H is the biggest joke of the WWE. And did you mean HHHHHHHHH or HHH by Triple HHH? :D |
Van Wilder is a classic

Van Wilder is awesome. And I can't wait to see this movie.

I just saw it last night. What an awesome movie. It had everything I wanted in an action movie. Snipes was cool, badass, and cold... Reynolds was funny... and Biel was hot. With her bow-and-arrow, iPod playlists, etc. etc. ;)
I also loved the music, liked the bad guy, and was entertained by so many other things. I thought this was a very well made movie. |
