It was always a dream of mine to go to Chuck E. Cheese's. In college, I floated the idea of going for my 21st birthday. My friends took me out for a night of drinking and strippers instead.

Oh well. Still haven't been to the Chuck E. Cheese after all these years...

You're friends suck. I would've taken you there as long as you wouldn't mind my hanging out at the balloon-blowing-up machine all night long. I love my helium!!

They've got a balloon-blowing-up machine? Goddamn...

Ah... to slow. My kids love that place, and it's much better than tumble drum.

Our daughter is just approaching two, and would have made her first trip a week or two ago except that it was just a bit too early for a pizza dinner. Soon, though...

I remember taking my little brother to one in the late 1970s. Didn't realize they were still around.

There are six Chuck E Cheese's in Houston and only one of them have an opening. We here in Houston love our cute little singing rats.

Ah, Chuck E Cheese's...the restaurant started by the founder of Atari. Just think, without video games, we wouldn't have crappy pizza accompanied by singing rats!

I tried to do this without telling the company... but for some reason they didn't appreciate me in a trench coat with a coatee and sun glasses while I walked around talking to all the little kids... they just don't appreciate hard work at the Cheese.

Chuck E. Cheese has gone really cheap. You'd never know they are ran by the same company that had Showbiz Pizza Place and the creative (but licensed by an outside company) Rock-a-fire Explosion shows. The owner grew tired of licensing shows from other people and changed over the animatronics to their own brand...and then eventually did away with everyone except for Chuck. Now it is Chuck and a bunch of TVs, with horrible puppets representing the other characters in the videos.

Chuck has changed a lot since he started out. It was a while after Showbiz bought them out before the merging of the characters. Chuck E. Cheese's Primetime Players were always a cheap knock-off of the Showbiz shows...but Showbiz kept him because he was cheaper.

What are you a Chuck-E-Cheese historian? :D

The one by us has actually gotten better, but Dave and Buster's is MUCH better as far as the prizes for tickets go.

I really liked those Rock-a-fire Explosion shows when I was a kid. When those disappeared, I found out why...

I'm a little surprised they don't have a full bar to help the parents stay calm when all the kids in the place go crazy.
