Important Offseason Dates & Events

It's that time of the season again, we're getting ready to roll over from one season to another.

Here's a list of events that happen in that period. I've been tweaking and updating this list for the last 3 or 4 seasons, so it should be pretty accurate. Feel free to report any inaccuracies you may find.

There we go!

2005-01-16 Sunday
* Last league game of season 24
* Right after game: money for topscorers is paid
* Right after game: opponents for qualifiers are known

2005-01-19 Wednesday
* Friendlies

2005-01-22 Saturday (or at weekly update depending on country)
* Prize money for league position is paid
* Membership fees from the supporters
* Medalions are distributed (for supporters)

2005-01-23 Sunday

* Cupdraw for round 1 is announced

2005-01-28 Friday
* Last day to do your pull for week 16 of season 24 (but will age in a few days). No youth pulls are permitted on Saturday to prevent confusion as to who will age and who won't

2005-01-29 Saturday (or at weekly update depending on country)
* Team spirit, team self confidence, supporters and sponsors are reset to normal values

2005-01-30 Sunday

* First youth pulls of the new season are allowed 15 minutes prior to usual league game time. These youth pulls will not age until next season (16 weeks).
* Last chance to make a stadium request before the costs double.

2005-01-31 Monday
* In the night from Sunday to Monday, players grow older, see their wages get adjusted and yellow/red cards are reset
* Youth pulls of the week don't age
* League fixtures are released (may be closer to Wednesday than Monday)

2005-02-02 Wednesday
* First cup round
* Friendlies for team not in the cup

2005-02-06 Sunday

here's an important date, when is the last possible minute to upgrade the arena at the "old" prices? I just started mine a few days ago cause I was afraid I'd forget.

No one knows for sure, most people think you must do it before the last economic update for teh year, which would be 1/29, but it could happen on 1/22

From the ever vague announcement they made on October 5:
Quote:

From season 25 (which starts late January 2005), the costs for expanding your arena will be doubled compared to today. In the season after that, it will increase even more. The reason for this change is that these prices have fallen behind while all other costs have gone up since season 1 when these prices were set.

You can read the whole thing following this link:

I'd think that until the qualifiers you should be all right, but it's anybody's guess...

I plan on doing mine this coming Monday. From 60036 to 88088, woohoo :)

I guess we have our answer as to when the cost will double...

Quote:

1/16/2005 Increased arena expansion costs
As we have previously mentioned, all costs for expanding arenas will be doubled next season. This will take effect 2005-01-31. The costs per seat as well as the fixed cost (currently €30,000 or equivalent) and the cost for removing seats will all be twice as high as they are today. Then, they will double again a season later, on 2005-05-23.

The top post has been edited to show this important information.

so, when do we switch training from primary to SP or stamina?

FrogMan 01-22-2005 10:59 PM

if you don't have a qualifier this Sunday, you can switch at any time between now and when training happens...
