Three RTS 2005 PC Games looking forward to getting
Three RTS games looking forward to getting.
of course i wait to see the reviews and what people that play it say. 1) Empire Earth 2 http://empireearth.sierra.com/empireearth2.jsp i never played the first one 2) Age of Empire 3 http://www.ensemblestudios.com/ i bought Age of empire 2 and love it 3)Stronghold 2 http://www.fireflyworlds.com/sh2_index.php never played the first one. any other RTS PC Games you know for sure it will be release in 2005 that you want to get? |
Call me when Rise of Nations 2 comes out.
|
They all look outstanding. Empire Earth II looks to have some great features. I loaded up their interview vids and they spoke of a "picture-in-picture" screen that refreshes every so often with different areas so that you can see whats going on around you during battles.
|
I hope they do a better job with EE2 than with the original. It was the first RTS I have ever regretted buying. There seemed to be no strategy or tactics involved beyond 'spawn units and fling them at your enemy'...zzzzzzz
AoE2 was great so I have high hopes for 3. Stronghold was a cool game, and from the previews of Stronhold 2 it looks to be ever better. Lots to look forward to this year. |

I agree. That Star Wars RTS that used the AofE2 engine was cool too. I'm waiting for the next Command and Conquer tho. Come on Tiberian Twilight |
They're making Red Alert 3 right now, so Tiberium Twilight will be a while
|
Anybody see screenshots for Earth 2160? The game looks AMAZING

:( Damn EA bastards |
jbmagic,
Cossacks was a nice game and the stand alone expansion pack made the game better. You can literally have hundreds of men on the screen at once fighting huge battles. Lots of nations to choose from, huge maps, the AI is solid, and teh graphics are a little dated by now. I really enjoy the Sudden Strike series. First one was unrealistic in terms of the way units could be destroyed. Sudden Strike two made the game much more realistic. You can probably pick up either game for less than $15. |
