Go Rutgers!

Scarlet Knights are looking good so far...

*Knocks on wood*

cthomer5000 01-24-2005 06:16 PM

don't jinx us.

JeeberD 01-24-2005 06:18 PM

You aren't at the game?

cthomer5000 01-24-2005 06:20 PM

I'm a fair weather b-ball fan. Football is my one and only sports passion. Plus, now that i'm no longer at school I don't even know the players (since i won't take the time to follow the school in the offseason).

Regardless of the outcome they always play incredibly well at home, and have one of the more overlooked homecourt advantages in the country.

JeeberD 01-24-2005 06:51 PM

20 point lead with less than a minute till the half.

Amazing...

Buccaneer 01-24-2005 07:18 PM

I read this hoping it wasn't against SU, it can't be. Then I checked...it is. SU will come back in the 2nd half.

JeeberD 01-24-2005 07:21 PM

Three minutes into the second half and it's down to a seven point lead. Yikes...

SunDancer 01-24-2005 07:28 PM

What is Rugters record?

DaddyTorgo 01-24-2005 07:29 PM

yeah. too bad they can't handle the press and they're imploding.

General Mike 01-24-2005 07:45 PM

Way to choke.

sabotai 01-24-2005 08:14 PM

Ouch. In and out. So close.

I don't think it's even possible to jinx Louisville's opponent.

Ragone 01-24-2005 08:55 PM

We'll see come march Target.. :)

Logan 01-24-2005 08:58 PM

Voice - gone. Heart - currently sitting in my spot at the RAC.

For those who followed the football season, here's an analogy. The 1st half was Michigan State, and the 2nd half was New Hampshire.

Despite the implosion, I'm impressed we were able to come back after Syracuse took the lead (up as many as 6 with 4-5 minutes left I believe).

Can someone who watched the game let me know - was that a phantom foul call on Danny W on the 3 point play with 7 seconds left? I might've only been 20 feet away, but in the commotion I didn't see anything that looked like a foul (and the ref who made the call came running in from halfcourt to signal it).

Still proud of the guys.

Ragone 01-24-2005 09:02 PM

If you are a Lousiville fan you can have both.

Ragone 01-24-2005 09:43 PM

Or if you are a kentucky fan.. you can lose to Uab :)

Its okay though, i root for kentucky when/if louisville gets eliminated.. i'd love to see a final four matchup.. but the stupid tournament committee jacks up every year

Yeah, I still get a bit edgy just thinking of that one. It doesn't help that every CBS college basketball commercial has the ending from that game and/or that fucking Laettner shot in it.

That horn in the philadelphia spectrum must haunt your dreams..

ISiddiqui 01-24-2005 11:33 PM

Hey, the basketball team is taking lessons from the football team ;). Oh wait, the basketball team was actually in this game ;).

miked 01-25-2005 05:43 AM

You'd think we could hold an 18 point lead for more than 4 minutes. We completely disintegrated under the press...very sad.
