David Beckham Missed a Pk in the 86th minute of what will probably be his last world cup game .. which will basically eliminate england :)

There must be some kind of trick coding to jinx Beckham - in the 2006 World Cup I played the other day, he put a long shot off the crossbar in the 117th minute of a 0-0 England-Brazil final. (He at least managed to score later on his penalty shot - it took Owen Hargreaves to screw that up for England.)

(whiny FM "fan" mode on) marc why haven't you updated the game with the fact that Beckham now speaks Basic spanish? After all, he read a prepared statement about Real Madrid en Espanyol. This is a major issue affecting my game and I demand a patch last thursday. You are ruining my experience and fm2005 is the worstest game ever. I hope you get fired.

(there's a lot of debate going on at SI as to whether he knew that Spanish or if he was getting prompted through an ear-piece (watch the interview carefully if you can get hold of it))

That's one of the thing I've found very cool in the game, the little things like a player learning new languages. My Ecuadorian striker has learned basic English in his first season with us, weehee!!! :)
