FOFC FBCB League Looking for owners
 

Two things here for FBCB players interested in an online college basketball league...

First, for the existing owners:

The coaches that don't have an import since 6/2004 are the ones that fell off the map when the league went into temporary hiatus and never turned up for our first season back. Those schools will be considered open after this season, so if you want back in this is your last chance to retain your job at your existing school :D


Second, for potential new coaches:

All the info on the website and message board are in my signature. We are finishing up our 4th season and will be starting the 5th season next week. Anyone interested in joining should go peruse the message board/website and figure out what team you'd want to take over. We have a very solid core group of active owners and this season has been very entertaining, but it'd be great to grow some :)

I will start a thread for potential new owners on the league's message board. Feel free to post any questions here or on the league board.

In terms of time committment, there isn't very much really.

In the preseason there are exports 4 or 5 days a week to get new assistants coaches hired and to set up scheduling. After that we go to three sims a week during the regular season(at which time only 1 export a week is really required, for recruiting) and then we ramp it back up for the postseason touranments.

I'm almost positive that I'll be in for this, but I'll check it out tonight when I get home from work. Thanks for the heads-up.

Same with me. I've been thinking about this for a while and am just going to have to take the plunge here sooner or later. Maybe now is a good time.

The leagues rocks, even though the Sooners sucked this year.

To me, that was one of the main reasons it rocked... :D

Ah, to me it rocked because Duke did not win the ACC Tournament :D

All I can muster is that it rocked because I lead the nation in FT%

To me it rocks because BC is in the Sweet 16, and plays the most exciting brand of basketball in the FOFC FBCB nation :)

It rocked because Penn State got into the Big Dance with a losing conference record, then upset #5 seed Syracuse.

How long does it take for a season play out?

It rocks because Radii kept me from getting fired...even after I beat UNC early in the season. :)

This season started on Nov 28 and looks like it will end Feb 10 or so.

There were a few extra slowdowns this year due to conference re-alignment, the fact that it was my first year as commish, and Christmas, so we will very possibly cut a week or two off of that in the future, but 3 months looks like it'll be about the norm.

This league rocks because it shows just how lousy MrBug and Marmel are as FBCB players once they have to play with their own recruited players.

Woo hoo!!! My goals for the season from the board were to win the FBCA. A tall task, but still not out of reach! I made it to the Great 8. Three wins to go!!!

I'll retake control of the Rutgers team. Not sure why I stopped playing, to be honest...sorry about that. :)

Bump. There's an outside chance we'll be ready to go with the new season after tonight. A fairly good chance after tomororw night.

This doesn't mean this is the only time new players can join, but it is the most logical time to work new people in :)

We need some Big East coaches!

With the return of Sabatoi to Rutgers, and you taking over W Virginia, the Big East has 4! I think we need ACC coaches!

I'm hoping another conference can get to 5 so we can run a Big Ten / ??? challenge.

yeah, anyone who was still planning on it can still go post.. in between seasons is the best time to add new owners in bulk, but really new coaches can be added all the time and we did add some during the middle of the year last year.

Sorry, forgot BC was coming over next year...

BC's already over in our league, since it's 2007 game time :D
