Does quicktime contain spyware?

I know that Apple creates it but I never used quicktime alot because I didn't trust it. Does it contain spyware? Thanks.

I cant tell you for certain, but i'm 99% sure it doesn't, not previous versions at least.

I seem to remember it adding an unnecessary progam to my Windows XP startup - but not spyware, something actually related to quicktime. Easily removed by using msconfig.

It adds iTunes with the player. I did it during the Super Bowl because I wanted to find that 1984 add from McIntosh. You can just uninstall iTunes and leave QuikTime on the machine if you want to. I did.
