Finesse running huh?

What the hell does that mean?

rkmsuf 02-08-2005 01:12 PM

It features lots of high stepping.

gottimd 02-08-2005 01:15 PM

running with finesse.

Desnudo 02-08-2005 01:20 PM

Like a ballet dancer, except running instead of dancing.

mhass 02-08-2005 01:21 PM

I thought it was a spilled shampoo bottle.

Franklinnoble 02-08-2005 01:21 PM

Not John Riggins.

For every post that complains about the need for more documentation in FOF, I'll bet there are two posts like this one. We'll never get more at this rate. :(

FBPro 02-08-2005 01:54 PM

Finesse running=sweeps & pitches?
Power running=between the tackles?

This is the H.N.I.C.'s way of saying R.T.F.M.

Et tu, FBPro?

Glengoyne 02-08-2005 02:40 PM

I'm not sure what the manual says, but I'd say a Finesse running game features traps, counters, and draws.

i would agree.

circle gets the square.

I would agree with Glen.

Finesse running = longer time to develop. Better chance of breaking a bigger yardage vs. getting stuffed/fumbling.

Just a guess.

Barry Sanders is to finesse running as Earl Campbell is to a refrigerator on skates rolling down a hill in San Francisco, you know one of those steep, straight hills.

Just press F1 and let the help file answer your question:

Quote:

The finesse running percentage indicates how many runs featuring misdirection (reverses, counterplays, draws and traps) will be used whenever a running play is called using the selected formation.

jamesUMD 02-08-2005 08:43 PM

Yabanci, how dare you read directions! That's un, un, unmanlike........:D

Good call. I was wondering about finesse running!

stevew 02-08-2005 09:28 PM

Yes, but which type of backs will be successful in a higher finesse%? Has anyone taken an okay back, with a high rating like elusive or something, and jacked the finesse%'s up, and made that back into a stud?

DaddyTorgo 02-08-2005 09:31 PM

now that would be an awesome experiment

Passacaglia 02-09-2005 12:08 PM

I've actually just started doing that in the eNFL. When I had him at 99% finesse in preseason, he did pretty poorly, but when I doubled the recommended settings, he had a pretty good average. We didn't get him many carries, though, since we were behind most of the game. Bledsoe's injury really isn't helping any.
