TCY: Amazing rusher

3000 yds in a season happens once in a while , I know, especially using playoffs, but still an amazing season. Did not win Player Of The Year, though.
(I have McNeese State in Sol 8)

Noop 02-10-2005 10:17 PM

Damn if he isn't a beast.

33sherman 02-10-2005 10:59 PM

Arrgh! Was excited to see how he finished up, and he went on academic probation for his senior year.

BigJohn&TheLions 02-10-2005 11:43 PM

10 bucks says he isn't drafted until the 5th round. Of course that will be well after his backup who goes in the 1st, but didn't log more than eight carries in a season... :D

Pyser 02-11-2005 12:03 AM

i wouldnt draft him.

way too much mileage on those legs!

fantastic flying froggies 02-11-2005 03:47 AM

Eh, the scout is a relative of FrogMan... :)

Just my type of RB...

MrBug708 02-11-2005 11:53 AM

126 times stuffed....

What was his ranking out of HS?

Aint that a bitch

QuikSand 02-11-2005 12:35 PM

...almost 42 carries a game... no wonder he flunked out.

Senator 02-11-2005 12:44 PM

Did he not want to play for Lou Holtz?

I'll post his TCY to FOF draft stuff later.

Klinglerware 02-11-2005 01:52 PM

Product of the system...

IMetTrentGreen 02-12-2005 04:37 AM

speaking of system i got a guy over 4000 once or twice. i used the veer, all finesse, never ran inside the tackles. as long as their legs didnt fall off, it was a lock to get 3500 for a guy each year. wasn't the most successful system but it sure was fun making the game spit out all those wacky numbers year after year

33sherman 02-12-2005 10:43 PM

The AI surprised me by redshirting the guy during his academic probation year, so he came back for a senior year. I didn't know the AI would do that. I missed his final year stats, but they weren't as impressive as his third year. Still, he ended up being the all-time rushing leader.

Now to see how he makes the transition to FOF.

If a guy hasn't used up the "extra year" of eligibility already, then that is what will happen every time FYI.

cartman 02-12-2005 10:46 PM

Wow, the guy wasn't half bad catching the ball out of the backfield either. Almost 2000 yards and 18 tds. Unless AP Yards also counts kick returns.

33sherman 02-13-2005 12:06 AM

He comes out a 48 out of 57(college changed to Indianapolis since he was Sol 8). Falls to the 5th round and drafted by the Titans.

33sherman 02-13-2005 12:09 AM

...And comes out pretty good for a 5th round pick, but nothing amazing.

33sherman 02-13-2005 01:06 AM

Then plays as a third-down back behind one of the best running backs in the league..and rushes for almost 9 yards a carry!

yabanci 02-13-2005 01:39 AM

this is interesting, keep it going.

Pyser 02-13-2005 01:41 AM

thats a great looking late 5th rd pick.

maybe i take back my "i wouldnt draft him" comment.

though i still think his legs are going to fall off.

Senator 02-13-2005 09:24 AM

Ron Dayne syndrome.

MizzouRah 02-13-2005 09:53 AM

Very interesting indeed.

Todd

33sherman 02-15-2005 09:45 PM

Well, I traded him to the Redskins so he could start, but the Redskins went 5-11 and couldn't run as much because they were always behind. Then he broke his ribs and missed the last three games.
