Better Safe than...or Mistake

Now that it's too late to change, what do y'all do?

I have a Cup game I should win. I wanted to PIC but, since I am away and my form is for shit all the way around (2 of my 3 middies are weak, and so on with crap like that- back-ups not worthy, etc), I chose to normal- also because I am paranoid of the HT gods, being thealmighty notwithstanding. ;)

So, do you PIC in Cup until you are the worse team, or do you suffer a normal and go with the just-in-case?

I almost always PIC my cup matches, which is probably why I haven't had a home cup match in several seasons. I prefer saving my TS for league matches. To make PICing safe, I just play most of my non-trainee starters.

Watch Dawn of Twilight's match. Looks like he didn't scout :-) Down 3-1 to a vi club.

So far this is proving to be a colossal blunder.

I always PIC as I don't care about the cup.

It's costing me this round as my opponent had 61% possession in the first half. Which surprises me as according to HAM the midfield of my B team beats his best midfield, I would have expected a closer number than 61%.

And to make matters worst, I lost a winger and my 3rd keeper/clown is now playing in place of him.

If it's marginally close, I'd normal. The cup is just too valuable both for $$ and additionally, for experience.

TazFTW 02-16-2005 07:50 PM

And we are going to overtime...

Chubby 02-16-2005 09:03 PM

4-2 win for the Chubbys. We play a team that made it to the final 8 last year in the cup after beating the wizards... crap. But, we will have a chance...

YoSoySean 02-16-2005 10:00 PM

I normalled this week in fear of my opponent's side attacks and the possibility if them MOTSing... and I won 8-0. I obviously prefer to play it safe :P

Won easily, so I guess a PIC would have been a good idea.

Get a home game next in a game FoG will likely lose.

Tazmaniacs took the lead in the games 105:th minute with 2 - 3 after some elegant plays down the middle. Barry Cline was the scorer. By then Barry Cline was a three time scorer - a hat trick! This put an end to extra time, making Tazmaniacs the winners.

Woo Hoo!!!

Now I get to play lytic...

Please don't hurt me. :(

I've never done anything but PIC a cup match.

I will continue to do so until my team has a legitimate chance at pushing deep into a cup.

Gee, that looks pretty familiar. Except in my case, I feared their midfield. And I won 9 - 0. :o

If they'd really tried, they would have probably been within five rating points or so, which is a little closer than I would have liked.
