Who is going to try CM-Online?
Sounds super interesting
it reminds me of www.soccersim.com from a few years ago. If anybody remembers that. for 3.99, I might go for it. |
I just went for it, 3 months.
|
I'll admit, it sounds like fun. I've also had a look at some of CM's features. I like the chalkboard look to the tactics page and the ability to set your players to multiple arrows for different things. The 1-100 scale is also interesting. All that said, I think I'll wait until it's been in release for a few months to make a purchase decision.

Sounds like "Hattrick" mixed with CM, am i right? if so i'll try it, HT is really fun and this one seems more complete.
|
As an interested outsider .... please post any feedback you have after playing it ...
|
I'm a little skeptical with anything to do with CM right now. That said, it does look extremely interesting and relatively well priced, so I think I will try it when it gets going.
|
I just noticed price is in Pounds, at first sight i thouht it was $ so it would be really cheap for me in Euros, but pounds... it must be really funny, else the price is not as good as any other online game where you can play hours and hours per day while in a HT style game, you only login to your acount 30 minutes per day unless match day. Anyway i'm tempted to try it, as nothing matches to play vs human GMs.
Off topic, now that you're looking here Marc, we started a discussion at ootp boards about the future online playing mode on SI games like OOTP, EHM and even FM so maybe it will be insteresting for you. It's something we already discussed here in another topic. Here is the link: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ad.php?t=92644 |
What's the scoop on this - is there a summary somewhere of what's involved?
Is the $3.99 per season? Link please. I'm too lazy to search the net |
3.99 in pounds per month.
which is like 7.50 in dollars. if you buy more than one month, its at a discount. If anybody here wants to start up a buddy league, I will join up. |

3.99 per month and notice it's not $ but UK Pounds, so it's like $7.56 per month. |
wouldn't touch it if you paid ME $7.50 a month.
Eidos can go do an anatomically incorrect on themselves for all I care. |

Thanks. $7.50 per month sounds a bit expensive. Are they planing on simming one game day per real day, so you're paying $67.50 for a playing season and ~$90 per year? Seems a bit steep if that's the case. I'd rather pay my $50 and play 20+ years of FM, even if it is offline. |

Exactly my thoughts. |

I thought the same thing, but you should really look at the review list for features. They have some innovations that I would love to see in FM. |
I don't care if it came with free blowjobs.
I don't support crap companies like Ei"doh"s |
That loyalty is nice, but if they make a better game, then I will certainly play it. I guess it's a personal choice.
|
Oh, it's not all about their treatment of SI, that's their business, not mine.
I'm talking about a company that has stated publically that they released a game they KNEW was buggy because they needed to hit their quartlerly #'s. Or a comapny that releases a bug filled game, and when people complain, tell them that all the fixes will be in the NEXT version of the game. Or a company that hasn't had an original idea in years, instead churning out version after version of Tomb Raider. |
I don't know the story about any of that. But all game companies release games based on a schedule partly, or mostly, based on business requirements. Look at how LucasArts cut out a whole section of KoR II just so they could release by Christmas.
|
If it is a good product, then I will give it a chance. I would be willing to pay the $7.50 per month if the product was fun. I do not care it is from Edios or not, I am at the very least going to give the demo a chance.
