dacman 03-01-2005 02:08 PM

All grown up? Dude, she just turned 30. Where've you been?

Klinglerware 03-01-2005 02:10 PM

I remember her guest appearance on that Fred Savage show "Working" or whatever it was called. Pretty good stuff...

rkmsuf 03-01-2005 02:23 PM

I hated that bitch on the show. Stop f*cking with Fred Savage I'd always yell.

cuervo72 03-01-2005 02:27 PM

Bah, Winnie was nothing compared to the French girl.

Or Miss White, even.

sovereignstar 03-01-2005 02:28 PM

Winnie was such a bitch. Like that time (after she'd already moved from across the street) she started to hang around an older/cooler group of friends. She ended up getting into a car accident and who was still by her side? Though it took her a day or two to swallow her pride and thank Kevin with a *look* out the window when he was eerily peering through her window.

Flasch186 03-01-2005 02:29 PM

a swift kick in the MOUTH!!!!!

Flasch186 03-01-2005 02:30 PM

DOLA:

Seriously, she fucked me up with girls for years!!!!

KICK IN THE MOUTH!!!!

THE MOUTH!!!!!!! ARGH!!!!!

lurker 03-01-2005 02:31 PM

A couple days ago Passacaglia and I were at the grocery store and they were playing bad music as usual and then they started playing the song that was played when Winnie dumped Kevin the first time at the museum. I started talking about how I couldn't believe Winnie would choose Roger over Kevin while we were in line, half trying to embarrass Passa and half expecting the cashier to join in the conversation -- hey, he was our age, he should have an opinion on the whole Kevin/Winnie thing. Anyway, I went on about Kevin and how at least whatever trauma he ever went through brought him closer to his dad, even if it had nothing to do with him. The cashier sadly didn't join in our conversation, so all I accomplished was embarrassing Passacaglia.

That must have upset your parents slightly.

Ksyrup 03-01-2005 02:43 PM

This was one of those shows I never liked and saw maybe 2-3 episodes, tops.

They came to understand my anger was meant in a positive way.

It's when I started giving her the finger when she came on screen that I was forced to tone it down a bit.

hoosierdude 03-01-2005 02:45 PM

Wow she didn't age well. Surprising.

henry296 03-01-2005 03:04 PM

My freshmen year at college we saw her at a frat party.

We must be looking at different pictures cause I think she looks mighty fine.

SunDancer 03-01-2005 03:18 PM

Is this show even on anymore in re-runs? I use to see it sometimes on Nick at Nite, but now I don't see it.

Name dropper :D

Pyser 03-01-2005 03:27 PM

is this show on dvd?

Franklinnoble 03-01-2005 03:27 PM

Olivia D'abo (sp?) was pretty hot, but I never had a thing for Winnie. Or Fred Savage.

SunDancer 03-01-2005 03:29 PM

Wayne was the man.

Google "Olivia D'Abo" on image search. The goods are out there for all to see.

Karlifornia 03-01-2005 03:44 PM

What about that "Madeline" chick that wanted to fool around with Kevin? Kevin would always reject her just to hold out for Winnie. Madeline was purty.

gottimd 03-01-2005 03:47 PM

This Madeleine???

She always kind of had that Adams Family look to her.

I dunno - considering she always had kind of a funny face, I think she turned out about as good as can be expected.

She actually sings with Bon Jovi on his "Left Feels Right" CD. She sings Living on a Prayer with him.

I wasn't embarrassed! I even babbled on along with you in front of the cashier! :p

lurker 03-01-2005 05:33 PM

Oh, come on, I was going on and on with lines like "the funny thing is, I never understood until that day" and all you said was "...yeah" :P

Hey what was that song again anyway? I've been trying to remember all day.

Passacaglia 03-01-2005 05:34 PM

Augh...I can't remember, either. All I can remember is that it was a Bee Gees song on The Wonder Years, but it was done by someone else in the grocery store.

lurker 03-01-2005 05:38 PM

Oh yeah, between knowing that and your talking about the Hall and Oates song that Simply Red was covering I don't know why I even bothered trying to embarrass you.

JeeberD 03-01-2005 05:39 PM

You two better quit talking to each other or else SkyDog might come in here and bans y'all again... ;) :D

Which kindof begs the question "why were you trying to embarass him in the first place" but some things I'll just never understand. Always figured a lot of people saw socialization as a zero sum game and stuff like this kindof confirms that.

SI

Isn't there a wonder years Soundtrack? That may have it on there, or am I having another acid flashback.

lurker 03-01-2005 05:41 PM

Well, I was embarrassing myself too! I know that he's easy going and that he would laugh about it. We've been making idiots out of ourselves since our days in college.

No kidding! Quick, we better call someone a subhuman or something really offensive to make sure he doesn't ban us.

Or, I guess I could just go home and stop rambling.

Passacaglia 03-01-2005 05:52 PM

A zero sum game?

Thta's actually one of my favorite episodes, esp. how they put in Seger's We Got Tonight.

Another of my favorite episode was the conclusion of the Madeline run when Kevin told her to 'get lost'. Served that bitch right.

It's only UCLA, dude.

But at least it's a real major, rather than that theatre stuff... :p

A big fan of Wonder Years here...somewhere I've got most of the episodes stored away on tape.
