Anyone else see Be Cool yet?
 

I was a big fan of Get Shorty and I'm a fan of Elmore Leonard novels in general (including the book Be Cool).

The reviews have been decidedly mixed, so my expectations weren't sky high for the movie. I thought it was pretty funny - not great cinema by any means and not as good as Get Shorty, but it was enjoyable and there were some very funny performances.

Three months later, I actually see it. Good stuff. The Rock and Andre Benjamin stole the show. Vince Vaughan was also very good.

I'll probably buy it.

A more appropriate title would be "Be Shit" or "Get Shittier." I liked the original, but this is fucking dogshit. The arc of Travolta from cool to shit to cool to shit again is complete. His bitchass will be doing 4 men and a Baby next year, or Look Who's Talking......Again, soon.

i thought it was in the worst 5 I'd seen in years...right in there with Anchorman. Without Vince Vaughan it would've been the worst but Cabin Boy will still hold that title for me.

I've found lately that alot of movies that get panned as being "awfull" I have found not that bad, Be Cool being one of them. It isnt half as good as Get Shorty but few movies are.
