Chicago Bears QB Ryan Dinwiddie, allocated to the Hamburg Sea Devils of NFL Europe, completed 5 of 13 passes for 50 yards, and one interception, during Week 2 of the NFL Europe season, according to Larry Mayer of ChicagoBears.com. He was also sacked three times, while compiling an 18.1 quarterback rating.

Wow, I hope the Bears really aren't hanging their hopes on either of these guys making the roster next season. If so we may see a repeat of last seasons circus.

The lowest a QB rating can be is 39.5. Don't tell that to FOF though.

LOL

I saw a bit of a game with Andy Hall, loaned from the Eagles, tearing it up last night. Well, tearing up his team's chances of winning, actually. Who is that guy and how close to playing for an injured McNabb is he?

Hopes? You have hopes for this season? I'm fully expecting another abysmal train wreck at this point.

Isn't 39.5 the rating if you don't throw a pass. It can go lower. I think Jeff Garcia had 0.0 last year.

Ah good, he will fit right into the Lions' offensive scheme

If the Bears don't finish in last, I'll be giving Lovie Smith kudos for a good season.

False. 39.5 is if a QB throws every pass incomplete, they're getting 0 from Cmp %, TD %, and Yards per attempt, but the full 39.5 from an INT % of 0. INTs drive it lower.

albionmoonlight 04-11-2005 05:12 PM

If a QB does not throw a pass, his rating is [undefined.]

I work with the nephew of the Chicago Bear's quarterback coach and he says that last years quarterback situation was very stressful. Many of the qb's they were bringing in did not know the offense and it was a nightmare to get them even ready to play. From the sounds of it Rex has some potential in the organization's eyes. I am thinking that one way or another the situation will improve in the Windy City.

Krenzel is the long term answer for the bears.....

He was a rookie last year out of I-AA Delaware. What do you think? ;)

Well, after a very bad start in the NFLE last week - Ryan Dinwiddie progressed a lot this week.
