My first-ever undefeated season!

JeeberD 04-20-2005 07:40 AM

Hey, no fair destroying UTEP like that...

Oh, and congrats on the undefeated season. Now get your butt back over to FOFC FBCB and choose a team. ;)

Ksyrup 04-20-2005 07:40 AM

Highlight of the season, no doubt:

01/10/46 at Florida (17-14) W 82-38

:D

Balldog 04-20-2005 07:55 AM

Congrats! Can you post your Team Info screen from that season?

MizzouRah 04-20-2005 08:03 AM

Wow, what's next, Duke? ;)

Interestingly enough, I've found that since getting up my team to 100 Prestige, I only get coach offers from other 100 Prestige schools, even though my coaching level when I first started seeing this was only 10. (It is now 13.) I guess the AI is programmed to assume I wouldn't take a lower-prestige job.

panerd 04-20-2005 08:17 AM

Ugh, if the NCAA tournament champions in 2006 play games against Troy State, UTEP, Texas, Virginia, New Orleans, and Texas Tech I have a feeling I will be watching on ESPN 2 instead of CBS.

They know you don't have time to waste on building a program again. :p

Speaking of FBCB - I need one win in my last two games to keep my job. I won last game on a 3 point buzzer beater and my job was (hopefully) saved by that shot. #1 Cincinnati is next, but then I play a team I beat by 30+ points, which if I go 1-1, I'll finish at 0.500 and save my job.

After this last recruiting season, I'm very happy at the thought of this team over the next few years.

Yes, this is true. You have to resign from your current job then lower prestige schools will offer.

Or simpler yet, just resign and then you can automatically take over the school of your choice if they have a vacancy. That's how I went from SU to Colgate.

SD, how long did it take to build up Sav State?

Care to share, in a nutshell, your new strategies?

I'm surprised it took SC that long to get kicked out of the SEC... but the WAC seems a slightly odd fit.

I only use "Limited" conference movement, and HR explained that a conference switch in Limited is made if all of the following conditions are met:

  • Your team wins its Conference
  • The last place team in any Conference one level better than yours has Prestige 10 points less than yours
  • You and that last place team are in the same Region.
Because La. Tech starts out in the WAC, you can end up with other teams listed in the Southeast--even all the way over to North Carolina--in the WAC.

I don't have a big problem with this, really.

finkenst 04-20-2005 09:42 PM

didn't you get fired from savannah state in this dynasty? :)

CraigSca 04-20-2005 10:13 PM

I remember reading a post about the exact same thing, finkenst.

Schmidty 04-20-2005 10:28 PM

I have nothing to add other than the fact that my wife graduated from Liberty in 1999.

Tigercat 04-20-2005 10:30 PM

I thought UNO might have moved into the SEC in your game too, your team plays them during what looks like conference play and during what looks like the SEC tourny.

Edit: And judging by the schedule it looks like they replaced Ole Miss.

You're using words like "faggotty", and now cheating?! Are you SD's evil twin brother?
