Good online flowers sites

I have been chosen to order the flowers for delivery for this year's secretary's day (aka administrative assistant day).

I was planning to just go to 1-800-Flowers.com, but in this age of fatwallets and internet coupons, I thought I would check here first to make sure that there is not a better option for quality flowers for cheap.

Is everyone you are ordering from local? If so, you might be better off contacting a local florist, 1-800-Flowers just assigns your order to a local florist and charges you an additional fee for their service. If you go local, you might be able to snag a "high volume discount" if you are ordering multiple arrangements.

ps - send me one while you are at it! ;)

I've had success with http://montereyrose.com/. Not for my secretary, of course.

I've only used 1-800-flowers and they've worked well, it seemed a bit on the pricey side though. They just just call and coordinate with someone local to you anyways, so it may be dependant on that.

ProFlowers.com has also worked very well for me...

This is the site I buy flowers from quite often. They are some assembly required, but they're great flowers. With mothers' day coming up, I figured someone of you might be interested in the sale going on:
