Help Buying a New Car, for a tall and fat person
I have a second interview at a place next week and if I get the job I'll have to do some traveling. Part of my compensation is that they'll pay for a car and insurance as long as it is American made and less than seven years old (there is a price cap as well, but it is set pretty high and if I need to go over I can pay the extra).
Here is the problem. I'm 6'4", 370 lbs. My waist isn't very large (44") for my size, but I have giant shoulders and chest (65"/58"). I also have massive legs so would prefer something with an unobtrusive center column/dash area (so that my thigh isn't pressed against it). Anyone have an idea what vehicle would be best? |

Well with the money you will be making in the NFL Draft on Saturday, you can afford whatever you want. :)

I am looking for a new car as well, and Consumer Reports has helped me a lot. Good luck.

God damn! So, what is it like hanging out with Frozone and Elastigirl? I find the ford F150 Supercrew 4x4 to provide me with plenty of leg and head room room and storage space. Of course, I am a petite 6'4" 290 LBS I think that the FOFC could put together a pretty beefy O-line. |
Don't get an 86 Jetta, my 6'4" and 290Lb of mass didn't like it.

My parents Tahoe is the only vehicle I've ever driven that didn't require me to push the seat all the way back. I'm 6'-2". And my 300 plus pound uncle drives one. He has the belly and not the chest, but you get the picture.

Alright.....I want ya all to travel to Utah twice a week (Thurs and Sat) and play for the Wolverines.....
Man........................................... |
hmm.. I'm 6'3 215 recently timed myself in the 40 at 4.75.. where do i slot in for the fofc football team? :P
the f150 supercrew is a good choice.. :) |
well...
my brother be 6'7" and 390 lbs. He has a Toyota Avalon that fits him well. I have to scoot the seat forward to be comfortable driving after him and I'm 6'3" (disclaimer: i am the runt man in the family). I know you said an American car, so i'm sure a similar class car would work for you. Try to look for something with the gear selector on the steering column which should give an open console area. |

Any damn car you want. |
6'4" 370? Bro, you won't be buying a car, you'll be buying a motorized roller-skate.

I take it he's interviewing for an insurance job after having been "retired" by the government following all the lawsuits.... Hi Bob! :D FM |
Damn, this thread is making my 6'2" 218lb self feel small...
|
This thread is turning into the Dan Patrick show.
5'9" 175 *ding* |
The salesmn I used to be paired with was a big guy and he had a Chrysler 300. It was huge. I'm only 5' 9" and I had about 8 feet of legroom.

Thanks everyone. I heard that the Tahoe had tons of room, so maybe I'll start there.
