Me.

I have a 12:30 Internet meeting. I sent out the meeting notice and didn't hear anything back from the customer. Usually I get a confirmation email.

So at 12:30, I established the conference bridge and started talking with my IT guy who "beeped" in. So I'm talking to him about the client's needs and wrapped it up with I "haven't seen hide nor hair of them".

Somehow, they had "beeped" in and I didn't hear them. They hadn't said a word and had listened the entire time...I think they were a bit insulted. Oh well, I guess it could have been worse.

Agreed. Your customers were idiots for not announcing themselves.

That was rude of the client, but the customer is always right. So you lose.
