Somebody Give me Odds

On whether Aaron Rogers leaves Green Bay before Favre retires.

Myself, I make it even money.

The odds aren't good, this should be Favre's last year and at the most he has two seasons left in him.

I doubt that. I think he'll play for 5 more years.

I figure that Rodgers will at least get a chance. But he doesn't smack of "heir apparent" to me. I think it'd be a fantastic story if he does, though. Especially since he went from being the #1 pick to nearly dropping out of Round 1.

It's got all the makings of Hall of Fame pick there. Just for the storyline.

But we'll see. If I'm him, I'd rather be in Green Bay than somewhere else. That's for sure. Favre will obviously help him a lot, even just being able to watch him play.

Based on what exactly?

All the noise about him retiring is just media speculation. He's never said anything about wanting to retire, he's only ever said he keeps his options open. The press wanted him to retire when he hurt his thumb one year; this time they want him to retire because the Packs backup qb, supposedly his best friend, also retired.

He's in good health, he wants to keep playing, and unless he has a bad injury or an awful season, I don't see that changing.

I believe that Rodgers will be a bust. Can't really put my finger on it, just a feeling I have.

I want some of what you're smoking.

I think he'll play two more years, enough to break the career touchdown passes record, and then possibly a third if the Packers are still contending, but then he's done.

If he didn't retire when his wife has breast cancer, what makes anybody think he's close to burnt out? He'll play til he can't play.
