Extracting Video from Burned DVDs

I've got a couple of discs (of music, of course) that someone burned for me. Basically, two acoustic shows on each disc, that were transferred from the original videotape to disc at some point, then burned and passed along a tree. With no DVD burner, I was one of the grateful "leaves." However, I'd like to be able to extract the video onto my hard drive and burn the videos as VCDs to pass on to others.

Is this even possible? I know what I'm doing with audio, but video is relatively new to me, and I've never attempted anything like this. Any suggestions?

Dola.

What I've got, when I look at the disc from Windows Explorer, is two main folders, Audio_TS and Video_TS. There's nothing in the Audio folder, but in the Video folder, there are about a dozen IFO, BUP, and VOB files. Me no understand.

There are tons of utilities out there that do it for you. Here is one I found that is freeware.

Thanks! I did a few searches, but must not have used the right terms.
