So I am bored at work and I noticed this on the Cougarboard.

1. Grab a calculator. (you won't be able to do this one in your head)

2. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area code)

3. Multiply by 80

4. Add 1

5. Multiply by 250

6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number

7. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.

8. Subtract 250

9. Divide number by 2

Do you recognize the answer?

You could drop steps 4 and 8 since all they do is cancel reach other out.

Translation: Multiply the first three digits by 10000, then add the last four. Shockingly, you get your phone number. ;)

Hehe, I went farther in my original reply simplifying it step by step, but I decided just to leave the most obvious line.

This isn't exactly Cougarboard, pally.

It's funny how these things make the internet rounds. Just saw this posted on another board yesterday.
