does anyone know any good music downloading programs, kazaa lite sucks anymore. any programs would be appreciated

I don't think there are any anymore that haven't seen some people get sued for using them.

I use WinMX. The selection isn't always the greatest if it's not a mainstream artist, but overall, it's not bad.

bittorrent, but only for whole albums

otherwise I'd have to say do it legally.

I use DC++, although it can be a little daunting for noobs.

IRC and Usenet pretty much get me all I need. I will install Soulseek if i cant find what i need though.

Limewire works good for me. However, I'm using my friends copy of Limewire Pro, so I don't know how well the free version works.

Warez is hands down the best. Just make sure you dont install the newdot.net advertisement stuff and you have that option.

Usenet is all you need.

I really don't think there is anything better than eMule. Bit Torrent will be right there though once the reliance on tracker sites is severed.

If you want to pay money but be in a legal gray area, try allofmp3.com

There are ways to pay allofmp3 without giving them your credit card info.

Would that be to create a virtual visa card that you can fund with your normal credit card? You still pay for it, but they cant touch your real card.

Im trying out Napster right now, despite the software being a bit buggy, but to be able to access almost any cd i want to play at my computer, and to fill up my DellDJ for only 15 bucks a month is good for me. I dont make Cd's anyways.

Problem with eMule is that it will take a long time to download a small song due to the queue system. Or at least, that's my experience with popular tv series (any time I need to download a West Wing that I missed, for instance)- even with 200+ seeds, you spend a ton of time waiting in line. Then again, lines are probably shorter with music since you can get a song pretty quick.

All file sharing systems have some kind of queue system since they all work on the same basic premise, it just differs how they show them.

In any case songs should't take longer than 10 minutes. It all depends on the size and how well it's spread though. I just leave it running in the background all day on my system. I generally download larger files, not sure if I ever downloaded an individual song rather than an album(which takes about an hour or two usually).

Im using IRC to download Kelly Clarksons album, cause thats how I roll.
