Hummer 4
I couldnt find a good topic to put this under but the Hummer 4 is nearly finished in design. Sloped back. Like the H3 but more Minivan like. The design is nearly done. The anticipated MPG is 22 vs. the H3's 18 mpg. Im sure changes will happen but this is the plan.
Doesnt this defeat the purpose of the Hummer? |
If you can use the word minivan in describing it, then yes, yes it does. The devolution is complete, from military vehicle, to urban monstrosity, to slightly smaller status vehicle, to SUV, to minivan.

Awesome, now I know what we are getting after we rag out the Kia Sedona...

As a valet parker I hate the Hummer. It is a glorified Suburban with bigger tires and worse gas milage. The H1 Hummer was a try beast on the road, and impractical for any soccer mom which is how it should be. |
is it true that the H1 had self-inflatable tires? thats awesome if it's true.
i still plan on getting a H2 before it's all said and done. those things are monsters. |
Was the H1 ever actually called the H1? Or is that some damn nickname slapped on it after the H came out? I see no reason for H1 before there was an H2? I call it the original Hummer. The only true Hummer. The only one I would want to own......
From what I remember hearing, the original Hummer (atleast before GM, or whoever it was, bought the name) did have self-inflatable tires. |
Hummers aren't what they used to be. The H3 killed the "status" symbol of the brand, and I think that the brand will suffer in the long-term. Plus, GM already has GMC and Hummer, I'm not sure how they are going to co-exist two "SUV/Truck-type" brands in the same price ranges.

The hummer web page is pretty cool. The H1 has the tire feature...
"Air from an on-board compressor runs to the center of the hub and into the air chamber of the tire, allowing you to increase or decrease tire pressure on the fly with the touch of a button." |
Just curious Boss,
Where did you find this information? |
The original Hummer is the only one I'd ever consider. Not that I'd ever consider paying six figures for a car(Hell I struggle paying five figures). The others are cheap immitations of the real deal.

H2 ain't so bad. still looks like a monster on the road.
|
Aren't the interiors of Hummers pretty crappy, for the price?
