Wow. Talk about a sight for sore eyes.

Watching a Cubbies/Dodgers game, and the camera focused on a dude in the stands wearing a shirt for the old Hartford Whalers. Haven't seen one of those since I was in elementary school.

I still have my Whale shirt. Bought it about 2 years before they moved. It's my favorite shirt. Dark blue with the big ass logo on it. It's starting to get holes in the front but I won't get rid of it.

This one was bright green, looked brand new.

Everyone loves The Whale, the real "America's Team".

ah, that one. i like that one.

There are many vintage online retailers nowadays. My friend had a North Stars jersey from about 89 or so. Very cool. Now, I see them everywhere.

Anyone see a Nordiques or Winnipeg Jets jersey?

Funny, the people didn't seem to know there was a hockey here when they were, judging by attendance numbers. :(

I have my hole-filled Whale shirt from '97 and my Sami Kapanen signed jersey upstairs. My fellow Nutmeggers and I will always bleed green. :D

Once the Whalers moved I could never keep the same interest in the NHL and it used to be the league I followed second closest (after MLB). (I still crank up my Brass Bonanza MP3 every so often though. :) )

Brings back memories of the Pronger - Shanahan trade. :(
