My soul is scarred.

Genesis... Now that IS a throwback!

I remember when Genesis beat Leviticus on that interception return in OT. Genesis really was the powerhouse until Matthew came along. Some people really never took to the new league, but they had an excellent QB in that Jesus. It's too bad he was forced to retire at 32...

(edit: this is making fun of the jerseys, not Christianity. I am a Christian. I believe in God. I feel I have a good relationship with Him. I just can't imagine Jesus & His disciples walkin' around looking all thugged out in these jerseys... Oh yeah... Funny that there isn't displayed a Jesus #1 jersey. I actually saw one of those... in church in Kansas City. Yes, it was a Chefs jersey. The church has a big screen TV in the basement so that they can go down and watch the game between services!)

The NFL and NBA ones still have the league logos on them. And MLB sued Little League Baseball a few years ago because teams were using their nicknames. I have a feeling the owner of this business is going to get spanked if one of the big leagues finds out about this.

You gotta admit though the signing of Saul and him starting from day 1 really helped with the sagging ratings during those first few years.
Oh and Peter was also an excellent choice as a veteran replacement, ALBEIT ONLY UNTIL THE TIME COMES. :D

Samson had all the potential in the world. Talk about a bust.

klayman 09-16-2005 02:35 AM

Don't forget Moses. He could split defenses with ease.

Neon_Chaos 09-16-2005 02:49 AM

And I can't believe Judas threw that game. That was a shocker... and Jesus knew that Judas was going to shave those points off!

making money from the lord. that is the oldest profession.

I wonder if they could put "Nebuchadnezzar" on a jersey? It would have to wrap around a bit like "Grudzielanek."

I would worry less about them and more about the wrath of God. He claims to be a "proud sponsor of Jesus Christ," but I'm betting he doesn't have a signed endorsement deal.

Well, I know one player that won't have his jersey on here in 2,000 years...

Ajaxab 09-16-2005 07:50 PM

Can't forget about hockey's Miroslav Satan either.

MrBigglesworth 09-17-2005 09:07 PM

This one too.
