Is this board dead?
 

Is there some secret board I don't know about? I might have to go check out one of those online leagues for the rest of our members. Weird Stuff seeing this board so empty so to speak.

People have been having trouble getting on to this board (I just get a pop up ad from time to time). That could explain it...

Maybe its because Autumn is about to begin, everyone is getting prepared?

Technically the board was never alive. I assume that most people who post on the board are actually alive...probably with the exception of the machine otherwise known as QuikSand.

I am not sure about that because the posting has almost slowed to a crawl around these parts.

Anytime there's a Circuit City ad displayed (especially the website itself), my Firefox won't display the rest of the page. It's happened to me a couple of times today on this board.

May I suggest using a skin that doesn't display ads? I use Firefox and haven't had any issues getting on the board or having it display properly. It's been slow at various points in the past (though not recently). I use the Solecismic Yellow skin which has no ads.

Yellow Skin = no ads = smooth sailing.

I'm going to switch now, maybe it should be a sticky as using the standard design i get just the top banner and not the board itself 90% of times.

No ads in Firefox on the Sideline skin for me.

Me, too. For once, I haven't noticed a problem at all.

i've noticed this place not being all that interesting much anymore. you gotta figure many people are posting in the werewolf threads (which i avoid like girls avoiding cthomer). might just be this place ain't much to write home about unless someone's wife is writing religious/political posts and her husband is going on a crusade to clear her good name.

think about it, in the past we've had Hornsmaniac, the wigs, various trolls du jour, myself, and any hot topic (Hurricanes, pro athletes committing crimes, latest white girl missing, Schiavo, etc.). that's plenty of stuff to entice us, lots of ammo for drama. not so much the past week or so.

but generally, the quality of the threads are weak. not a knock on anyone in particular, just stating my opinion. there is a considerable less amount of topics that i'm interested in here nowadays. i refuse to be like jeeber and masturpost, i only post when i got something to say. less interesting threads=less of a desire to post.

The yellow skin seems to not to have this problem, you cna define the skin you want in your board profile, in the options menu.

Btw, i'm getting used to the yellow skin, now it doesn't look as ugly as at first.

I saw the yellow skin when it was first made it I still say it's the ugliest bulletin board skin I have ever seen to this day.

Wow, I've been using the yellow skin the whole time, I quite like it.

Of course the board is dead...I'm not posting here much anymore. I have a new man in my life, taking up all of my free time. :D

I will agree that I have found less interesting stuff here recently, but I've noticed in the past that, for me, the board will go in cycles where for a couple months there is not much that interests me going on. This must be one of those times.

Perhaps we just need more pee-pee and poo-poo humor?

Agreed with some of the peeps above. The yellow forum skin is quite nice.

I saw this thread earlier today and switched to the yellow skin for the lack of ads/loading fuckups.

I still feel like I'm cheating on this board with some other board, though.

When I got here, the default was Solecismic Yellow. By the time I figured out (or we were allowed to...not sure if we had skin options back then) I could change it, I was too used to the Yellow to change to anything else.

All the old school grizzled bitches should be on sideline green, yo.
