That little story about Scott Spiezio is interesting, too. And some people say that all the high drama "sleuthing" of fictional detectives tends to overstate the savvy it takes to do that job...

That is pretty cool. Whether the cop could have looked in the woman's purse gets close to the 4th Amendment. He just saved a lot of lawyers some time by avoiding the issue entirely.
