The Miners are looking to rebound from their embarassing loss to Memphis tonight in Ruston, LA. Hopefully Jordan Palmer learned how to consistently complete a pass during the bye week or else it might be a tough game for the Miners...

I'll be watching and rooting for Tulane, I guess. Stuck at work on a Friday night; luckily i've got cable and internet.

Very solid game so far. UTEP I think has more talent, but their pass coverage ahs been very poor so far.

Utep's secondary is downright poor.

We lost our two starting corners last year, but our safeties are tough.

the only battle Tulane is winning is their recievers vs. UTEP's secondary. Ricard needs to do a better job of recognizing what's happening if they want to come back.

Maybe if we stick Johnnie Lee at corner the secondary might be able to do something. He can do everything elsle...

Marcus Thomas has looked GOOD in the second half. He's got Tyler's quicks but with more muscle to back it up.

The two main things that I'm taking from tonights game:

1. If you want Jordan Palmer to play like crap, blitz the hell out of him. UNM and Memphis both blitzed nearly every down and he didn't play that well in either game. Tonight Tulane barely blitzed and he picked them apart.

2. The Miners need some help with the corners. If the corners don't start playing better we're going to have another two or three losses this year...

Not sure, but I think Kobe was accused of the same thing...
