SI

lytic 10-23-2005 09:52 PM

I've seen apoc do it before... but I don't know how.

lytic 10-23-2005 09:59 PM

Nevermind... cancelled.

Thanks anyway pumpy.

No sweat. I tried. So the next "official" one can be #34.

Glad we didn't have one, Saldana and I ended up finishing 3rd and 12th in two $20 buy in 180 person sit and go's. We anso won a 45 person sit and go. We made over $600 last night :)

How long did those new 20 table ones go?

kcchief19 10-24-2005 12:14 PM

No where else to mention this, but Lathum's run at a large-field SnG just reminds me how much it burns me that the only large-field tournament I've monied in with hundreds of entries was in *Limit Omaha Hi/Lo*. Ugh.

Lathum 10-24-2005 03:51 PM

lol, the one i finished in third was about 4 hours. Top 18 spots pay. Lots of dead money from what I could tell.

perhaps you need to tighten up your starting hand requirements early in the tournament.

You know.. last night got me thinking. What are the percent of hands dealt that people play? In the 500K tournament yesterday, I played 22 out of 247 hands... By nature, I'm a tight player but.. not 9% worth... Not sure if I should be amazed I made the money playing only 22 hands worth..

Guess in the end it is just quality over quantity...

maybe you need to bluff more. Doyle Brunson had a great line about a player like that he said if you play that way you can make the money most of the time but you will never win one.

I belive he was talking about David Plastique

I Just have a natural aversion to not play 2/9o.. or 3/6, 3/8, 2/10...

Try too.. unfortunately, sometimes it gets to be a question of, 'Ok, am I doing this because it is a smart move' or 'Am I doing this because I haven't played a hand?'

Unfortunately, yesterday it was the 2nd... (not to mention a thumping headache.. went to bed at 8:30.. )

Mustang 10-25-2005 12:04 AM

In other news.. Subby seems to pretty doing pretty damn good in a $150 dollar buy in tourney.. 6th place with 13 guys left...
