Gamestop: $29.99 + shipping ($2.99, or you may be able to find it a store near you, good luck)
GoGamer: $49.90 + shipping ($5.99, Football Manager 2006)
CD-Wow (US): $39.95 (free shipping, but is backordered)
BestPrices: $27.50 + shipping ($2.99, says it will ship after the 2nd, but not sure what that really means)
Target: $29.99 + shipping ($2.99 + tax, may be in stores, but I doubt it)
CD Universe: 31.39 + shipping ($3.99)
Buy: $28.99 + shipping
Wal-Mart: 29.82 + shipping ($1.97, unless you find it in stores)

I think that 20 teams are top 10 teams.

Do FM patches work for WSM?

From Miles Jacobson on the SI forum, there will be a separate patch made available for WWSM for the box version and the digi-download should be already up to date with the new code, i.e. already patched.

These are all for the box version, right Easy Mac?

Only thing I've read about the downloadable is that the price should be under $30.

I ordered the game through BestPrice on Tuesday but haven't recieved confirmation for it yet.... Should I be worried?

The listing at BestPrices says the game will ship after 11/2, so I wouldn't be worried.


The Gamestop listing has it coming out on 11/7, so I'll probably wait a while to get it as the week of 11/7 is The Movies week. I'm also enjoying managing an Italian club in WWSM 2005 so I can wait. It'll also give it time for patches/mods/utilities to be released.

Digi download will be available in the very near future for Football Manager by the way ...

Has anyone received an actual copy of WWSM yet or is it just some myth? I am starting to lean toward the latter. I am watching some FA Cup game between Walsall and a lower-league team from Wales (I can not pronounce or spell their name). The poor 18 year old keeper from Walsall got scored on when his defensive wall broke down.

Best Prices still has it on pre-order. IS this because they have not got yet or they just do not update their website? I want my game.

Yeah, unfortunately, despite promises to the contrary, I believe the WWSM digidownload does NOT have the UK english option. Unfortunately, that's a deal breaker for me.

let me just repeat what i told Vinatieri in PM. If you're hesitant about buying WWSM via DigiDownload cuz you want the UK English, just know that is it EASY to copy the UK English file from the Gold Demo to the WWSM folder.

Two questions. I haven't booted up the game yet, but I did copy the UK english file from the demo into the data files. However, I noticed that it is considerably smaller than the US english or Portugese language files (200+ kb as compared to 14,000+ kb). I still wonder if the transfer will work.

Also, is there an ARSE command like in the other FM/CM games?

The reason the UK translation file is so small is that English is our native language and so we use the english translation as the 'key' for all translations - hence its hardcoded into the game largely.

The reason the file exists is because it contains corrections to grammar and a few changes which were done after the 'text lock' development date.

I saw where cd-universe has set the release for 11/14. Marc, can you tell us why Sega dropped the ball again? I guess they shipped the source code by water.

As for the Arse command, I checked your tips and saw the info about the sugardaddy command, etc., but not the Arse command. Can this still be done?

Dola, Digital river is not a option.. so digidownload is out(long story short.. i told them to go to hell back when i had a ton of issues they wouldn't help with.. and that they'd never see another dime of my money)

I hear ya, although you could still download the game from them and play with it until you can find a box version**. I mean, I now see that amazon lists it as released on November 14 and it now qualifies for free shipping. $26.95 with no shipping charge is gonna be hard to beat...

**I am assuming that the game is interchangeable from the box to the digidownload version as it's been said quite a few times by Graeme and Miles that you can continue games started with the gold demo of FM2006 in WWSM2006. Wouldn't see why you couldn't start a game with the digidownload version, then backup your savegame, install the box version and keep on playing, all the while using some bandwidth from digital river without giving them your money ;)

Was this with an SI product? - also what problems did you have?

I would NOT recommend trying to use the UK-eng file from the demo with that version as it is missing some text which may (or may not - haven't tested) cause crashes.

Because people are asking for it (and to be honest it should really have been present in the first place) we're working on a little patch for people to download which will put in the correct files for the English translation for the digi-download version ... if you can wait a short while (probably days not weeks) then this will be available.

Miles Jacobson had mentionned this in the SI Forums and yes, that would be greatly appreciated!!! I want my pundits back, not some analysts, and I AM NOT A HEAD COACH!!! ;)
