FM 2005 Help!

I know alot of you have moved on to FM2006, butI need some help for 2005.

I've gone about 2months of game time without saving in my FM franchise, and when I go to save I get the following warning/error-

"GAME::save_game()-cannont load save file"

I've tried to sim ahead, and then save but I keep getting the same error. Has anyone else seen this? Is there a remedy?

thanks for your help!

I assume you have tried saving it as a different save file name too?

I'm not sure what could be causing it, but that sounds very frustrating.

Can you run a scandisk on your PC to check if you've hard-disk sectors, ditto with regards to a virus checker (sorry if you've already done this but I have to check basics first).

Thanks for your input-

As it turns out my virus scanner was enabled, which usually is not. After looking to the Si forums I'm guessing this was the cause of the problem. I finally couldn't take it anymore and just started over my last save, and stayed up all night to get myself caught back up.

The good news is after turning my virus checker off I've had no further problems.

The bad news is my results were far worse, and also the first time I was able to clear up some much needed salary by selling an expensive/rarely used back, on the redo I never got the offer, and couldn't unload him before the deadline.

Not a big deal, I'm just amazed how different things can turn out in a short one month span, the whole feel of my team, and season have changed.
