Michael Irvin Arrested
|
No hookers this time?
What was he in Spain? |
It would have been a better story if TO was with him.
|
Wow, what a huge suprise. He's always been a dipshit.
|
I wonder what kind of paraphanelia it was. Im gonna go with either a pipe of some sort, or a needle
|
Quote:
It is a pipe or a bong. I doubt if it is anything more than something with marijuana residue. |
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Good for him. ESPN was crazy to hire him. It couldn't happen to a nicer, more deserving man. Hey, this is my 100th post. Drinks are on me. I am in Rolla, Mo on Monday thru Wednesday, St Louis on Thursday, Vegas Friday thru Sunday and Indianapolis all next week. Look me up, I'll buy. |
He was framed by the leering press. Run Michael - RUN!!!
|
Quote:
Where you buying Thursday? :) |
I need that info too. I hit 3 of those 4 cities almost weekly.
|
Well..wonder who ESPN will replace him with. Deion, is that you?
|
If ESPN wants to let him go and get a replacement for the rest of the year, Terrell Owens has some free time on his hands.
|
crack pipe

One of these things just doesn't belong, Can you tell which thing is not like the others By the time I finish my song? |
maybe ESPN can bring Rush Limbaugh back now. After all, I'm sure he would never do drugs.
|
Quote:
Big difference between crack and pain meds. Not that I give a shit either way. |
Quote:
|
A misdemeanor? Eh
|
Quote:
Seriously, I don't want to argue about Limbaugh, but it's hypocritical to criticize people regarding drugs when most of you have done them yourselves. Luckily, I'm a prude and have only had alchohol (a lot). |
Quote:
Or they could hire this guy: ![]() |
Quote:
Everyone's got their crutch. Yours, evidently, is usually spelled "alcohol". Mine is spelled "snorting crushed peanut brittle". |
Quote:
I actually quit drinking hard liquor like 6 months ago, and it's been awesome. I still drink beer (good beer) with meals. :) I'm also addicted to sunflower seeds. |
Quote:
Thursday, I will be at the St Louis Airport Hampton Inn for the night. I fly back home to Las Vegas on Friday late morning. I should be getting in to St Louis late afternoon. I will be driving from Rolla earlier in the day. Send me a PM if you want to. |
Quote:
week of 12/12 I will be in Lufkin Tx, which is about 100 miles NE of Houston. Week of 12/19, I will be in Guelph Ont, which is west of Toronto. Home the week of 12/26 and in Boise Id, for 2 days of teaching the first week of January. On average, I travel 45-47 weeks a year. But the pay is GREAT!!! ps I am no longer a noob, after 5 years too. |
I like how he mentions that it is important to him to keep drugs away from his boys or whatever. He says he knows his friends are trouble (more or less) and that he has to be careful to not let them influence his children.
They sound like great friends Mike, make sure you keep putting them first. |
i reaaaaaaaaaaaallly hope ESPN lets him go over this, just because I cannot fucking stand him on any of the ESPN shows.
|
An ESPN spokesman has said Irvin will still appear on Monday Countdown tomorrow.
|
I don't see why he'd risk everything, given he's been through to get high again. And then to be dumb enough to have it in his car. I guess he could just be guilty as hell, but...I dunno, I tend to like to see people redeem themselves from past gaffes and so, I hope he's not just making this up. And given his past, it seems like he's not.
|
Ah.. the tired excuse...
Its not mine baby! |
Good enough excuse for me. I don't believe possessing "drug paraphenelia" should be a crime. If there's no drugs, then that's the end of it. Specifically for the reason it may not be yours. Believe me, I hate Irvin (terrible commentator, crass, etc.), but this charge is lame.
|
Quote:
What's lame is using the excuse he did... Specifically for the reason that it may not be yours? So should child-porn be legal just incase you happen to have some in your car from a 'friend' and it's not yours? The dipshit, if his excuse is true, needs better friends. Simple. |
Mr. Irvin, if you'll just pee in this cup, we should be able to clear this up pretty quickly.
|
Quote:
I don't think they can charge you unless there is residue on the item. |
Quote:
Not when both are being obtained illegally and being taken to get high. |
Quote:
|
Quote:
Have you ever smoked marijuana? If so, you have no standing to criticize someone else on illegal drugs. If not, good for you, but the side dogging Rush has a lot of dope-smokers on it. By the way, I am for the legalization of marijuana and other drugs. |
Quote:
Huh? I've smoked marijuana so that means I can't criticize someone someone who smokes crack? |
Quote:
The point was that he was comparing crack and perscription meds because they are both attained illegally. Marijuana is illegall too. How can someone who has done illegal drugs criticize someone else who has done the same thing, without being a hypocrite? |
Man, ESPN really hires some winners. Maybe Bill Romanowski can replace him.
|
Quote:
I don't think Rush is a bad person because of the drug issue... we all have weaknesses and his happened to be illegal and harmful and I hope he got the help he needed to overcome it and get his life back on track. I do, however, think he's a terrible person for the hate and hyprocricy he spews. |
Quote:
But that's my point: How can they criticize him for being a hypocrite (which he is), without being hypocrites themselves? It's like an endless cycle. Quote:
I have been forced to listen to Rush on many occasions (in the car with my dad, at work, etc.), and although he's a pompous asshole, I've never heard him spew hate as you say. I've heard him talk about certain political groups, policies and social situations with disdain, but how is that different than people like Al Franken, Bill Maher, etc.? |
Quote:
They're only being hypocrites if they say "He's bad for using drugs!". They're not being hypocrites if they say "How can you bash us for using drugs when you're using them yourself?" |
Quote:
Which is criticism regarding drugs, and is, in fact, hypocritical. Like I said, it just seems like an endless cycle of hypocracy. I see your points though, and I respectfully disagree. One thing I think we all can agree on is that sensationlist dipshits like Rush suck balls. |
Quote:
Franken & Maher are funny. :) |
Quote:
But they're really no better than Rush, especially if one disagrees with a lot of their politics. :) |
Quote:
Rush's actions: Uses drugs Rush criticizing drug user's message: Using drugs is okay. R.C.D.U.'s actions: Criticizes Rush for hyprocracy Rush is a hypocrit because his actions directly contradict his words. The R.C.D.U.'s don't criticize Rush for using drugs (if they did they'd be hyprocrits) they criticize him for being a hyprocit. Since they never said being a hyprocrit is okay, they are not themselves hyprocrits because their actions do no directly contradict their words. |
Quote:
Yeah I know, but I've always said that Moore\Franken & Co. go out and about with thir political message using humor & they're funny... Coulter\O'Riley\Rush & Co. are dead serious when the talk which in itself is funny, but funny in a sad sort of way. :) |
Quote:
Very good point, but it just bothers me when I know everyone that actually aligns themselves with a party line has some hypocracy in their political views (smoking, but criticizing tobacco companies; criticizing members of the opposite party for the way they raise funds, while their own party's members are no better, and on and on...). I guess that's where my frustration comes from. |
Quote:
But, unless you've spent your life completely free of hypocritical judgments, pointing out someone else's hypocrisy is in fact initiating the ultimate cycle of meta-hypocrisy, no? |
Quote:
Funny, that's EXACTLY what everyone said about Rush after he was exposed... People didn't bust Rush's nuts for being on drugs, they busted his nuts for ragging on drug users at the very same time he was using... |
