The best part of Christmas...

Is the baking! Anthony and I baked Chocolate Caramel bars yesterday, today we are making Roly Poly Santas, Peanut Butter Cookies with Chocolate Chips, Egg Nog Logs (one of my all time favorites), and Mountain Jumbles - basically a Choc Chip Cookie with xmas M&M's and Pecans...YUM!

Those sound great! Since you mentioned the best part of Christmas, we should mention the worst part...the added pounds that come along with all that great eating. :( I'd say it is well worth it.

No kidding!

The Roly Poly Santa's didn't come out to good...when I was taking them off the pan some of them got decapitated :(

I was going to try to make a gingerbread house this year with the kids, but I'm too lazy.

Ouch! I'm sure they still tasted great.

Obviously some of you have been getting really crappy presents if the best part of Christmas is baking...

;)

FrogMan 12-19-2005 10:44 AM

oh, the best part of Christmas isn't eating anymore, and it never was baking ;), it's watching your kids open their presents, especially the ones they don't expect at all...

Prior to having kids, oh, it was all about opening my own presents :D

This is definitely true...but spending a day in the kitchen with my son is right up there!

well, me and my son in the kitchen for a day would spell disaster, that is D_I_S_A_S_T_E_R to you :D

I know what you mean though.

I thought the best part about Christmas was the Christmas sex?

CamEdwards 12-19-2005 11:10 AM

"I saw Drake cornholing Santa Claus/underneath the misteltoe last night..."

Drake 12-19-2005 11:23 AM

Wow. Left myself wide open for that one, didn't I?

oliegirl 12-19-2005 11:39 AM

Good news - the second batch of Santa's came out much better and none of them have been decapitated...

Now we'll see how the Mountain Jumbles come out - batch #1 is in the oven :)

ibnsgirl 12-19-2005 11:53 AM

Good news is that no one ever has to know about the decapitated santas as you can eat the evidence! :)
