Tattoos on women
 

I prefer girls without tattoos, but my wife has a penguin tattoo on her ankle that I can live with. In general, they are a big turnoff for me.

Agreed wholeheartedly. I've always hated tattoos on women.

Generally not hot IMO. I like unmarred, virgin pristine flesh!

One or two small tattoos can be hot. More than that...not so much.

I like them if they're on the lower back. Otherwise, it's a turnoff. I'm glad my wife doesn't read this forum. :)

Depends on location (i hate the lower back shit) and style. Not into the sorority girl who got some dumb tattoo, but i love me a punk chick whos covered with them.

Yes, YES, YESSS!!! Long live my punk rawk girls... the more tattoos the better usually, but the entire package has to work. Love sleeves..

there are a lot of those girls up here in the cities. very cool.

the wife has 2 thick bands on each arm. she got one on the upper back (nape i guess) last september. She is going to get some more next year. She looks good in them.

Each of her arms are going to be different themes. 1 is going to be blues and greens, the other is reds and oranges. hot and cold...i guess

I, on the other hand done have any. I was at a tattoo convention with her in Seattle. I made a comment that while people get tattoos as self-expression, thee are quite a few who get them to be unique and stand out. I said that I was one of the only people at the convention who was unique because I didn't have any.

This is my exact feelings as well.

The right tattoo, in the right spot. Something that isn't a butterfly on the ankle or other common stuff. Like Asia Argento....yummy. Her and her main tattoo get me going. :D

Tattoo on the lower back? Might as well be a bullseye.

It's very hard for a girl to pull off a tattoo and keep her sex appeal. To me it's like wearing a sign that says "I probably have VD."

I think there is one lame-ass tattoo that women get on their lower back. Science hasn't designed another pattern to put there yet.

When I see that tattoo, i snicker. It's like a scarlet letter.

My wife's got a small butterfly on her lower back from before I met her. I don't mind it, although I generally don't like tattoos.

For me, I'm 100% indeffierent towards them. Have them, don't have them, makes no difference to me. What I look for is the motive. Did she get them because it's something she's into or did she get it because she's an attention whore? ("it" specifically because attention whores generally just get the one to show off to everyone).

The sleeves can be kind of hot though...but generally, indifferent.

Don't like it , in fact a buddy of mine says the one on the low back is called a tramp stamp! Kind of harsh but whatever.

Generally a turn off for me. But I have a close friend who has a ton of tattoos and I don't like the sentiment that just because a women is all tatted up means she is a tramp or slut.

I like them when they're in strategic places and in good taste. I'm not into women with a full sleeve or anything.

I tattoo can look sexy if it is done well and in the right spots. On the butt or chest not so hot, on the upper back or shoulder can be hot.

On the hotness scale of 1-10, tatoos are pretty much an automatic 5 point deduction for me. Its not a hard and fast rule, but it usually holds true.

I like them in the right places, specially tribal ones in black, i hate colored tattoos.

Hmm I am going to say depending on the girl it can be hot.

That's about the only legal tattoo we have here.

Is that true??? how can any goberment make tattooing illegal?? not that i'm a tattoos big fan but for me that is like not allowing to wear red t-shirts or something as stupid as that. Which reasons is the goberment giving to make it illegal? how does that damage the society?

Well, obviously having a tattoo is not illegal in Oklahoma. Oklahoma just doesn't allow tattoo parlors, and I think it's probably because they don't want to regulate them. It's something that people have been trying to change for a while now. Personally, I couldn't care less since I don't have tattoos and no desire to ever get one. But that's just me.

Seriously, Icy, the reason is that the large Baptist base, who sites that tattooing is a sin, puts pressure on the legislature to keep it illegal. The legislature would love to regulate it because it would generate revenue for the state, but they don't want to alienate the Baptists.

While I hate the fact that this only goes to reinforce people's negative views about religious people, duckman's probably exactly right.

I don't mean as a knock on religious people as it is their rationalization of why they are so much against it. I don't agree with it because Christ did away with many of the old Hebrew laws. That's why we don't follow many of the Hebrew customs.

I hate the ones on their lower back. It looks like they crapped their pants and it is over-flowing.

The more tattoos the better... I especially love the colored sleeves and the ones that surround the belly-button.

i'm fairly indifferent. one of my old friends had a bunch of tattoos and still looked hot and wasn't a slut. i had another friend who was latina and gorgeous and had a full red dragon all along her back. it was really beautiful (although she was a total slut).

My current girlfriend has a fairly large tattoo in the middle of her back -- just an interesting design. I'm not sure if I like it or not yet, though I'm leaning towards not.

At least its in a good position to ponder that question as you 'study' it.

Well, joy of joy, my 15 year old neice informed us the nest time she goes to see her dad in Pensylania she is going to get two tats (you can geta tat at any age in Penn in seems). She wants a star on her upper foot and a playboy bunny on her "lower belly." I used to hold her in my arms when she was a tiny baby, and now she's a slut. *sigh*

It depends. I've seen some great tattoos, and some terrible ones. My ex has like...7 of them. A couple of them are her own designs, and those I like. She has a couple that she picked off of the wall in the tattoo parlor, which I find tacky.
