I may say a few bad things about my job, but...

One thing they do that I enjoy, is that they give everyone a week off during christmas. Our plant always closes from the 24th to the 3rd. And for me, its a paid vacation, whithout having to use any PT.

Yup, no such thing as a holiday here. I am supposed to make it home tomarrow, but it won't be until later in the evening. The one good thing about flying on this holiday, is that everyone is ususally in a pretty good mood. And it is fun to watch people going home, or to visit thier familes. It brings back memories of traveling around Christmas, between my parents houses. I had to fly back and forth, because North Dakota and California are not near one another. I do miss being with my kids on this paricular night though.

My dad was a pilot before he had kids. He wasn't licensed to fly the big jets, but he did fly a leer jet for a rich guy out of oklahoma. He gave it up so he could raise a family. Sometimes I feel bad that he gave up something he loved so much. Anyway's sorry to get of on a rant, but I hope you family has a merry one, and I hope that your kids grow up to appreciate the sacrifices their dad made.

Thanks guys, weather should hold up for me today. It is only supposed to rain, and that shouldn't delay us. Hopefully the planes behave. Merry Chrismas :)
