Now, not all are stars, but there are quite a few names in that list. That's not everyone, thats just the people I've heard of. Not sure what my point is, but that may be the oddest cast list I've ever seen for a movie.

I think it has to do with his assassination night in LA in 68.

If I recall correctly, most of them are working on this as a "labor of love" type of venture - and are getting paid well below market for their efforts.
