What dou you listen too/watch in the morning?
Kodos is channeling me.
|
Very little actually -- I'm only in the car for about 10-15 minutes most mornings, so for that limited time it's usually Mike & Mike on the sportstalker or John-Boy & Billy on the classic rocker. After that, sometimes I grab a bite to eat & watch M&M for another 20 minutes or so tops.
|
Back when I drove, I listened to Mike & Mike in the morning. Now, I'm fortunate to be able to walk to work every day (although that will probably only last for another month or two.)
|
Mainly radio when I wake up and I'm having breakfast, then some of my music going to university.
|
TV if I'm working at home. Sports radio if I'm in the car.
|
MP3's now. I got this neat little gadget for Christmas that plugs into an iPod and transmits a radio signal your car stereo picks up. Easy way to interface an ipod with a car stereo.
|
NPR all the way.

Well, I will go off of what I do when home and ignore the road here. Since night is my morning there.
Since these days would be typically Sunday, Monday, and sometimes Tuesday mornings it is pretty easy to choose. Sunday...pregame shows in season. What ever sport I can find or ESPN in the offseason of football. Monday, ESPN news so I can watch the Monday Morning QB. Tuesday, just slap on ESPN usually. This is usually back ground stuff though since I am doing stuff online. And if I work out right away, then during that has always been CD's, although now I am bringing in the Sirius Satellite Radio to listen to, since the new one has a remote. And of course a week from today I will wake up at 5 a.m. to listen to Howard Stern's first Sirius show. |

i hope its not an Itrip. Kensington Digital FM transmitter is the best one to get. |
It's made by Monster, no clue how it stacks up to the Kensington.
|
I'll listen to any combination of
Opie and Anthony (7AM-11AM, XM 202) Sports Junkies (10AM-1PM WJFK in DC) Tony Kornheiser (9AM-11AM WTEM in DC, then 11AM-1PM XM 152) |
Nothing while at home - I like to have minimal stimulation until I'm entirely awake. And becoming fully awake is a process that can take hours. :)
But if I'm driving to work I'll listen to NPR almost exclusively - by far the best thing on radio, in my opinion. |
I'm too busy getting ready for work in the morning, so I cherish the silence as my children and dearest Antmeister are asleep.
But now that Howard is gone (I don't have Sirius radio... I envy you Cringer  ), hopefully Adam Corrolla can keep me entertained. None of the morning sports shows in Phoenix are any good. |
I watch Noggin.
|
NPR, until Cokie Roberts comes on.

I don't think you envy my Sirius radio, I think you envy my lovely hair. :) But, I do think Adam Corrolla will do pretty good. I have always enjoyed whatever he does. I wish he would be in an area where I drive just so I could get a listen or two in to his show. I was hoping Dallas would have his show but they got the David Lee Roth option for some reason. In fact, I should hear how bad David lee Roth's show is Wednesday morning when I head up that way. edit: hear, not here. I always do that when I am typing and notice afterwards. |
ESPN if I'm at home. Sports radio on my way to work and occasionally a CD if I'm really tired and need a pep up.
|
No one is funnier then KROQ's Kevin and Bean
|
anybody listen to Madcow?
|
Quote:
Can't stand the guy. |
Anybody listen to Free Beer and Hot Wings?
I came across them recently and tune in whenever I get the chance. |
If I turn on the TV instead of music its almost always NFL network, I just let it play. I get my NFL news and my daughter gets to watch the pretty colors of the highlight clips. (She loves watching football, and yeah, she's all of 11 months old today)

Assuming you're talking about Mancow. He's real hit or miss, and the only reason I really keep him on is the fact that he gets cool guests. |
NPR.

Noooooooooooo! At least its better than Maisy, or all that Dora/Diego shit. |
Quote:
Dora is fine, but I don't care much for Diego (he seems to have been stapled on just for the sake of having a boy on the show). And Maisy is teh sux. Sesame Street is still the best for a combination of child education/adult entertainment, IMHO. |

maybe it's because my PCs are in the family room so I don't have to fully watch any of them, but there's only really one kid's show I can't stand, and that's Caillou. If that whiny little brat was my kid... |
Quote:
Oh god...Caillou. I hate Caillou. For me, watching that show is the visual equivalent of hearing fingernails on a chalkboard. |
TV while I'm doing PT
