League set up help needed
New FOF user here trying to simulate an MP league with a complete draft. I want to make sure I know what I'm doing before starting a real league with human participants so I want to simulate at least one complete season where I control all 32 teams myself.
I'm running into a problem when I open the MP controls panel and I check entries where I find all of the teams are computer controlled instead of controlled by a participant. I'm guessing that my mistake relates somehow to not collecting all the stage file exports and putting them into the import directory but I have no idea how to do this. I hoped these steps would be automatic when I entered all 32 new careers myself. Am I on the right track or did I miss something obvious? Any advice from the MP sages would be greatly appreciated. |
could you "Ben Dover" and pick that up?

When you go into the Commish mode and see the list of teams, in order for you to get (and use) stage files from other teams, they have to be human controlled (it was say 'Ready To Import' next to the team name when there is no file in there and 'Stage Imported' or something to that effect afterwards) When you load as another team in that league, you would have to export a stage file and put it in the imports folder in order to simulate what you are trying to do.
Hope that helps. |

Thanks for the help PackerFananatic. I got it to work by doing exactly what Skydog said to do in his MP Setup thread: Manually move the stage file exports from the "league" directory to the "import" directory. Makes me wonder though how anyone who wasn't privy to this site and its crucial guides and walkthoughs would ever figure out how to do this kind of stuff by perusing the help-files that come with the game. |

I doubt it. He's apparently living in hyperspace somewhere. Not really anybody to talk to there.

Chances his real name is Benjamin Dover: 0.1% |

It beats Seattle's two-dimensional existence. Hasn't it rained like a hundred days straight there? |
