I'm getting this one out early. I'll be covering an employee in Kansas City the week of 01/23.

I'll be staying up by the airport so lets get together for a drink or two.

Ragone, kcchief, SI, and anyone else.

I don't drink but i'd surely pay for a meal :)

only real issue is i work 4-midnight that week mon-friday

I've got transportation issues in that I'm still without a car at the moment but I'll see what I can do.

Todd, sorry we missed each other the last time. That was a brutal work week for me. I should be more clear that week, and I'm up for anything -- more the merrier.

We could meet at the Olive Garden as a tribute ...

I'm up for anything as well, I'll be staying at the Embassy Suites off of Tiffany Springs parkway.

thats near zona rosa.. could hit hereford house.. :)

There's quite a few good places at Zona Rosa ... that's the place for us to go.

I keep hearing people rave about Abuelo's or whatever it's called, but the two times I've tried it there was a wait of 45 minutes and I was just too darned hungry for that. The Smokehouse isn't as good as the Gladstone location, but there's nothing wrong with the Hereford House.

I wasn't too impressed with the Hereford House.

We should figure out the night for this in advance. I'd go with Wednesday, offhand, but I'm not wedded to any one night.

abuelo's is terrible to be honest.. not to mention they have like one light bulb in the entire restaurant (its VERY poorly lighted)

honestly its going to have to be a weekend day.. or early in the day (noonish) otherwise i can't go

Hey guys, I would love to join you but North KC is a little bit of a trip for me. I will keep monitoring this thread and when you decide on a time or place I will try to get there.

Wednesday is fine with me. Ragone, I'll only be there from Monday - Thursday, as Friday I'm leaving sometime in the afternoon.

I'll post when I get there and we can figure out a place, time, etc..

I'm heading out tomorrow morning, around 7am. I'm going out with some friends from work on Wednesday, so Thursday would be ideal... that or Tuesday.

I made sure I had:
1. FOF
2. TCB
3. BBCF
4. TPB

Tuesday is out for me, but Thursday is doable depending on the time.

Wow, what a day... busy, busy. Finally settled in my room and about to go out and get something to drink and eat.

Before 2pm would be hard Ragone - except for Friday if I get off early... or maybe lunch anyday this week.

well i do get off at midnight ish as well :P

I don't suppose we'd like to actually try to decide on a time and place more than a few minutes in advance so those of us coming from Lawrence or other surrounding environs could make it (hint, hint). ;)

As for the 2pm thing- if we do it then, there's no way I can make it. That said, doesn't mean others can't get together at that time. But we kindof need some sort of plan. And if some of us can't make it, so be it.

I just wanted to say that Jack Stacks cheesy corn is one the greatest substances on earth. That is all. :)

How about Thursday? You guys name the place.. there is a Hooters down the street. :p

I'm good around 6pm and beyond.

Thursday, I can probably make it, but it'll be after 8:30 (probably closer to 9 in North KC). Also, you'd get a chance to meet my wife, as well (see: car situation above) so maybe not Hooters ;)
