I Hate Phil Simms

this is the worst commentator in all of football and on TV period.
plus, what the hell is the deal with Dan Marino? is he sucking Tom Brady? Jeez can he be any more biased?

Phil is to commentary, what Chris is to quarterbacks.

Of course he is. Now, why aren't you?

jeff061 01-14-2006 09:03 PM

Yeah he could be more biased, see Shannon Sharpe. "Tom Brady only does his dink and dunk thing" ;).

Anyways, I think Brady and Marino are golf buddies.

It's amazing that Phil Simms can talk with Tom Brady's -- well, you know where this joke is going.

You're a year late to the party.

What's the point of competitive sports?

What has Brady done?

How old is Brady?

Shut the fuck up.

Schmidty 01-14-2006 09:23 PM

Dola.

I don't care about the Patriots. I'm a die-hard Lions fans.

I also hate U-M.

I am also not a dipshit.

tarcone 01-14-2006 09:46 PM

all simms can talk about is the pats after bailey goes 101 yds on a pick
WHAT AN ASS

Flasch186 01-14-2006 09:49 PM

I actually thought that was a good idea. It would be hard to know exactly where the ball started, but that was as good an idea as any to figure out what happened.

The worst ex-player in football on TV, to me, has to be Cris Collinsworth. He has run his 15 minutes of fame for being in the Super Bowl with the Bengals to way past 45 minutes.

BrianD 01-14-2006 10:20 PM

Is there some rule which states that announcers can never be silent, or do these guys just like to hear themselves talk?

Agreed.

"Someone call the National Guard!"

Sharpe's commentary was better as a player.

cougarfreak 01-14-2006 10:35 PM

Yeah.........but the Pats were VALIANT!

I disagree 100%. He is one of the few analyists that actually does his homework. On Inside the NFL he actually makes meaningful insights based on actually watching and breaking down games while Carter and Marino talk out their asses.

tarcone 01-14-2006 10:39 PM

Simms looked like he was about to cry when they went to the booth

That drives me nuts, too. It's a radio rule that makes no sense on tv.

To me, he overanalyzes stuff. I can't begin to count the number of times he was absolutely sure of the outcome of a game, and he was so far offbase it wasn't even funny.

It's fitting since they have the worst pre-game show on tv. I'm convinced you could grab three homeless guys off the street and make a better show.
